I was eleven when I asked him about Love. He laughed at me at first but he then answered the young me with his wisdom.
"How'd you know if you've already found him?" I asked my dad while watching the stars from our garden.
"You're too young for this." He laughed. "I'll answer this because if I die tomorrow, I won't be ever to tell you about your man."
I faked cry. "Dad, don't say that."
"You know, I really don't have an answer to your question." He started to caress my hair. "Personally, there's no definite answer to that question. It comes in different times for different people. Some meet them at a young age but some meet them at the end of their lives." He looked at me. "You can only tell when you have already found your man and when you have found him, don't forget to tell me." He placed his nose on mine then smiled.
Excuse me." I run outside after I played. I sit at the stairs of the entrance as I look up at the stars. There are only few of them but they still look beautiful twinkling up above.
I wipe the tears that fall down from my eyes. "Stop falling." I talk to it.
I miss you dad. I won't be this sad if you're still here.
I hear the front door open. I quickly blink my tears away. I didn't leave my eyes on the stars as I feel someone sitting beside me.
"You did great." His low beautiful voice makes me more emotional. "But you don't look great right now." I glare at him. I notice him looking at my eyes.
"Amara..." He clasps his hands. "She's his only one but they didn't end up together. She married another guy, while he couldn't find another woman who he could love more than he had loved Amara. She's the only one for him so he stayed alone—unmarried."
I take a deep breath. "Why did you bring me here?" He didn't answer me back in the kitchen.
"She saw you this afternoon and he told me you look exactly like her: your eyes, your nose, your lips."
"Yeah, I went to his busking. I didn't notice him looking at me." He's too busy playing the piano and talking to the students.
"He does not need to stare at you to tell how much you look like her. He has been staring at her photos almost every day from time to time so he has memorized her face and he can tell at a quick glance." I shiver from the cold. He grabs my wrist before putting a cold pack on my palm.
"Thanks."
"Oh! You found her!" I remember Mr. Leo telling Ezió when we arrived earlier tonight. Is that why he reacted that way?
"He called me this afternoon asking for a face sketch and my sketch totally looks like you." He hands me a folded piece of paper. I opened it and am shocked to see literally my face on it.
"I didn't know you're this good." I am still staring at the sketch. I feel like I'm staring at the mirror.
"He wants to see Amara before he dies. He assumes that you're related because you look exactly like her when she's your age."
"They say that one person has three persons who look exactly like him. Amara's maybe one of mine." I don't know any relative with Amara as a name.
I yawn as I stretch both of my arms. "You'll stay with Yumi and Cielo. They've prepared your room." Says Ezió. I nod at him. He followed me inside and part ways as I walk straight to the girls' room and Ezió to Thad's.
