Weeks have passed and we're a day away from our audition. We had to extend until ten in the evening to make our performance the best as possible but I'm afraid I'll mess up. Sometimes I thought to myself, you should haven't joined this band.
It's me against myself. I can't lose this paranoia if I won't fight with it so what I did is to join them. I really don't want to be in a band but it's an opportunity and I felt that it's a first step of overcoming this fear.
"You're in your own bubble again." Sabina notices me spacing out in the corner while they're having their pizza in the kitchen. She tosses a cold soda can to me. "Get cool."
"Thanks." I open it then turns to look outside the window.
Two motorbikes stop in front of this house. They're Ezió's and Kade's and I notice another guy is with Kade. The guy removes his helmet that's when I knew he's Ash. I don't call him with Greysen anymore because he asked me not to.
Suprisingly, I find myself being friends with a guy. I have never been close with a guy—my dad is an exception. With all the bad things that happened with me involving guys, I've developed a prejudice against them. From that criminal to the guys at school, there's nothing good that I can remember. And there's this guy that I can't forget. I was struggling that night but he fled without helping me. A part of me blames him of why I'm having this paranoia. He made me dislike guys even more. Ironically, I can't remember what he looks like.
Anyway, Ash made me realize that apart from my dad, there are still guys that I can trust.
"Why are they here?" I whisper before finishing this soda. I walk to the trash bin near Uryella then throws the can inside. "Do you have plans with your boyfriend?"
She shakes her head. "Why?"
A knock from the door didn't let me answer Uryella. Kade shouts "Handsome guy wants to get in." When Uryella heard his voice, she came rushing to the door.
"20 minutes late." Erra complains. Late? Are they supposed to be here? She doesn't want anyone in when we're reheasing. She even lets Kade wait for Uryella outside when he comes to pick her up.
"What are you doing here?" I ask Ash when he made his way towards me.
"We'll watch you." My eyebrows furrowed.
"I called them." Sabina joins us.
My look turns to Ezió who sits on one of the chairs at the island. He stares back at me but I turn my eyes back to Sabina.
"We need to have a mock drill." She says the last word while doing quotation marks on air.
I glance at Ezió again. Erra is telling him something then smirks. He's looking at her obnoxiously. She walks to her drums then start hitting the cymbal.
"Let's start to end this day." She says then Sabina and Uryella pick up their guitar. The three guys take their seat in front of us.
Their eyes are all on me so I hasten to get the rhythmic guitar. I didn't look at any of them while strumming my guitar. I count before I start my singing. I slowly raise my head—looking above them—when my part is near. I managed to sing the first two lines but I suddenly stop when my sight of them suddenly changes to paparazzi surrounding me then to students staring at me along the corridors. I try to continue singing but all of a sudden I am brought to a stage with a sea of crowd, where that man is standing at the very back—smirking.
