NICK P.O.V.: I didn't wanna stop the thing we had with Demi, but I knew it was for the best. I couldn't risk hers and my success, let alone our entire careers.
I had to come up with the whole "I wanna date Cherry" to give her a reason to not continue having sex with me. After all, that's all we were doing, having sex.
As I walked to the stage, I saw Marissa and she rolled her eyes at me. Demi probably told her.
Phil: Nick, you're ready?
Nick: sure (I said and he gave me my mic)
Phil: everything's okay?
Nick: sure (I said again and I continued with the show)
We sang together that night and it felt wrong. We didn't wanna be there. It felt awful. When the show finished, I walked to Cherry and hugged her.
Nick: congrats, you were amazing (those are the words I told Demi every night after the concert but I needed to forget about her for a while)
Cherry: thank you, you were great as always
Nick: thanks (I kissed her cheek and Phil cleared his throat)
Phil: Nick, mind joining me in your dressing room?
Nick: nope, I'll go in a minute (he nodded and left me with Cherry) hey, wanna go out with me tonight? We can go eat something if you want to
Cherry: as a date? (I smiled and nodded)
Nick: yes, as a date
Cherry: sure
Nick: I'll meet you in the hotel hallway in two hours then
Cherry: kay (I walked to my dressing room and saw Phil, Dave, Mike, John, Kelsey and Demi there)
Nick: I feel tension, what happened?
Phil: take a sit (I sat beside Demi and Phil sighed) look guys, I don't know what's going on here between the both of you...but I don't like it, we don't like it (Mike nodded while everyone else just stared at him) you can't act like lovers one day and then, the next one you act like complete strangers on stage
Demi: well, you didn't like us being too close, so? (She asked with a shrug) now we're not that close anymore, that's all
Phil: you know I like the chemistry you both have, I just don't get why you're acting like lovers or strangers, what the hell is going on between you both?! (He asked angrily and Demi looked to me waiting for me to talk, but I didn't)
Demi: I'm sorry Phil, we'll do it better the next time...now, can I go?
Phil: no, there's other thing I wanna ask...Nick, what's going on with Cherry? (I didn't understand why Phil wanted Demi to be there to listen to that talk)
Nick: I like her, we're getting to know each other, that's all...I hope there's nothing wrong with it
Phil: no, it's okay
John: well...as long as you don't mix professional with personal
Nick: oh, we won't, don't worry (Demi chuckled beside me and stood up)
Demi: that's all?
Phil: yes (she stormed out of the room with Kelsey and Mike behind her and Phil and John left after them)
Dave: you ended things, didn't you?
Nick: yea...I think it was the best choice (he nodded)
Dave: it probably was but I see she didn't like it at all (I sighed and shrugged)
Nick: it was just best friends having fun, she'll be fine and I'll be too
Dave: sure? (I nodded) you know Nick? I think it was the best choice to end that thing you had...but if that wasn't just fun, and there were feelings, then you shouldn't do this
Nick: I thought you wanted us to end everything
Dave: love is worth fighting for...but that's not your case, right?
Nick: right, it's not
Dave: then, don't hesitate on trying to get your best friend back...
Nick: she won't want to be near me (he smiled and palmed my back)
Dave: I'm sure she will, eventually
