chapter ten _ group house

Jughead's POV

"Wow, it looks better than what I expected" Veronica said as she parked in the driveway of the group house
I opened the door and got out of the car with Del. Veronica opened the trunk door and took out our suitcases. As soon as she gave me the first suitcase, a teenaged girl came to us and helped me take them to the house. Veronica and I walked to the house and saw the girl we had met,right in front of us with a sweet smile on her face.

"Thank you for helping us " I said
"No problem,welcome by the way. I'm Lauren"
"Hi Lauren I'm Jughead "
"And I'm Veronica "
"Nice to meet you. Which one of you is going to stay here? "
"Me and this little girl " I said
"Oh is she yours? She's so cute"
"I bet you'll change your mind when you have to change her diapers, that's not even close to cute "
"Ok,I should tell Maggie you're here; she's been waiting for you. I see you soon "

She went upstairs and it was just Ronnie and I there.
"She seems nice. I hope your other housemates are just like her " Ronnie said
"Yeah me too "
Seconds later a mature woman came from upstairs.
"Hello mr. Jones ,welcome to this, whatever you want to call it. I'm Maggie and I'm the manager "
"Hi"
"Doctor Williams called me last night; I'm totally aware of your situation and I know you can't leave your daughter; she can stay here while you're getting treatments so there's no need to be worried about her. Let me take you to your room and then we can talk about rules and programs "

"Ok let's go "
We followed Maggie to the room upstairs, it was a room with two single beds and a desk, nothing else.
"This is your room mr. Jones but you're not alone here; you'll be sharing the room with another guy named Lucas because we don't have enough room here. By the way he's a nice guy and he's one of the guys who love children, so I don't think you'll have any problems with him. About your daughter, we don't have a cradle or a cradle or a bassinet here but if you have one, you can bring it. "

"Ok, what else should I know?" I asked

She headed downstairs and we followed her to where I left my suitcases. Maggie opened them and checked them to make sure I had nothing dangerous. When she was done, she asked me to give her my electronics and I refused to do that.

"I can't give them to you, I work with them " I protested
"It's Ok Juggie, you're not leave now. You don't need them " Veronica said
"It's a part of my life! You can't take it from me "
"Jughead Jones, right now,the most important thing in your life is the girl who is resting in your hands. You screwed up Jughead and now you're here to fix it. Don't forget your promise"
"Ok ,she can take whatever she wants " I huffed and gave her both my phone and my laptop

"Can I have his phone please?" Veronica asked when I gave them to Maggie
"Ok, you can have it " Maggie said giving Ronnie my phone
"Why do you want it Ronnie?" I asked
"Because I want to answer your phone whenever your family calls. You don't want to worry them, do you?"

"You can tell them where I am but please don't tell them about my real situation. Tell them I'm in a group house because you felt my depression was getting worse. Please don't tell them about my eating disorder "
"Ok Jug, don't worry "

We started packing the suitcases again and carried them upstairs to my room. Veronica went to bring Delphine's bassinet from her car then and I lay on the bed with Del, having a small talk with her.

"I'm sorry Del, this is not the life I promised you. I know I failed in everything, being a dad is one of them but I don't want to let you down anymore. I don't want to let Ronnie down anymore. We're gonna stay here for a while because daddy wants to fight for his life,because he loves his life so much that he doesn't want to lose it, how can I not love my life when I have two angles bu my side? I promise you that I'll get better and then we can go to vacation. Don't you miss granny? I miss them so much. We can go visit them but if you don't like that we can go somewhere else, just the two of us.
