"We have been waiting for you, Maviel Chione."

She abhorred the feeling of fear and excitement. The smell of the rusting iron. The smell of the wolves' blood.

"Must you really kill the wolves while waiting, or did you just do that because you want to look cool?"

"Mavi! Watch your words! Are you not afraid of them? Look at their itsura, oh! They're covered with blood, and they're scary as hell."

The three creatures have inhumane appearances. Their skin was like a replica of a crocodile's skin. Their eyes were similar to the snakes' eyes. Bloodshot red and black iris mixed with a bit of brown.

Unlike Sera, who was already hiding behind Sir Andrius with trembling knees, Maviel did not cower in fear due to the creatures' hideous appearance.

"They're not scary kaya. You are just maarte."

"Halt, Seraphina." The old librarian instantly stopped the princess before she could even throw her tantrums at Maviel. He unhurriedly walked towards the direction of the three gremlins, at dahil walang ibang gumagawa ng ingay, tanging ang tunog lamang ng sapatos nang matanda ang naririnig sa apat na sulok ng silid.

The gremlins were following every movement that Sir Andrius made. They were staring at him like he was the prey that they'd been waiting to feast upon, ngunit hindi rin nagpatinag ang matanda. "We did not come here for a fight," dahan-dahan niyang banggit.

Yes, these creatures were the key to the revolution that happened centuries past, but they are still considered predators in this kingdom. They may have a strong sense of justice, but one cannot deny the fact that they were lusting for peculiars' blood, and that they were the bringer of malice and mischief in this realm.

However, the cautiousness that the old librarian built hastily crumbled into pieces after hearing a loud screech from behind.

"Wicked! I have never seen a vine like this!"

'Hell! I wanna shower this lunatic with all the curses that I know, but I definitely do not wish to do that in front of these creatures.' Seraphina promptly ran towards the direction of Maviel and covered the latter's mouth.
