Chapter 16

Josie PoV:
When I saw Wendy I knew I fucked up. I had to make up an excuse for what happened, but ultimately there was no excuse for what just happened. I smirked at her as I chose the fun way to do this "what Wendy? I killed her. Isn't that obvious?".

She looked at me in disgust and walked up to me "for absolutely no reason. I wonder what Jade is going to think about this?". I always knew what Wendy was capable of and I know she wants to protect her friend, but luckily I didn't care that much "she is going to think of nothing. What are you doing here anyways?".

Wendy smirked at me as she thought that she tricked me "well, I ain't gonna tell her. You are, because she is on her way here right now. I texted her to come. And I'm here, I mean I was here to help Alyssa with a project.". I was furious and I almost threw her across the room when Jade came in.

She walked in confused as ever and I walked up to her with an innocent smile on my face "hey Jadey.". She smiled at me instantly "hey Joz. What's going on?". I shook my head and decided to lie a little bit "I don't know. I heard something and ran to see what happened. And then, then I saw Alyssa dead.".

She definitely believed me as she only hugged me "it was probably a monster again. I'm going to go inform dr. Saltzman on what's happening. Be right back.", she said then kissed me and left.

I was left alone with Lizzie and Wendy as I smirked at them "how did you like the story? Was it believable?". Wendy looked like she was going to burn me alive "I'm going to tell Jade what kind of a monster you are and she's going to leave you in a second.".

I laughed at that "no, that's not going to happen.", then I turned to Lizzie who was weirdly quiet "what do you think Lizzie?".

Lizzie just smiled at me bitterly "I'm going to break through you and get Josie back. That's final.", she said and before she left I had to make sure they knew something "you won't tell Jade anything, or I will have to do something drastic.". After that I left and headed towards my dorm.

Jade PoV:
I was walking towards dr. Saltzmans office when I ran into Hope "oh sorry, I'm in a hurry.". She grabbed my wrist "hey, what happened? Is something wrong?". I looked to see if there was anyone around "yes. There might be another monster.".

Hope looked kinda shaken up "what happened?". I took a deep breath "Alyssa is dead. Josie heard a loud noise and then she went inside to see what was going on to see Alyssa on the floor lifeless. That's so horrible. I mean, there is no other explanation to this than a monster one."

Hope looked lost for words and she quickly took phone in her hands "I'll tell dr. Saltzman, don't worry. Get some rest and I'll tell you everything later.". It looked like I had no choice, since Hope already called a meeting. I walked to my dorm thinking of how scared Josie must have felt when she saw Alyssa lying on the floor.

Hope PoV:
We were on a meeting for an hour already. And when I say we, I mean me, Lizzie and Wendy. We were talking about the ways to help Josie or to just stop her . Lizzie was really not okay with my idea and she made sure that I know that "no Hope, that's dangerous. It could potentially hurt Josie, or even worse.".

I knew the risk, but I also knew that it was important to do something "Lizzie, we have to do something. She already killed two witches and she probably won't stop until she feels satisfied. We have to do it. We have to protect the school, no matter what.".
