"If something ever happened to me, make sure you take care of these rascals." The man spoke as he led me to a room.
"How do I even know I can trust you?" I spoke, only realizing how dangerous this situation can be. Only a few hours ago, I was homeless, living in the slums of Yokohama. I had lived my whole life there, my parents murdered when I was 7. I found myself taking care of myself with what was offered to me at that age: life living in the slums. It was relatively quiet, compared to what you would imagine it to be like. I found families and other kids younger and older then me, yet they all seemed to reject me. It didn't bother me though, I was able to find an area where I could be all on my own. Until, age 14, I met someone who would change my life for the better, or for the worse.
Now, prior to being found by the aforementioned man, I was standing on the roof of a rather tall, building. I had no intention to jump, I only intended to stare at the stars, maybe sleep on the roof.
"Its nice tonight, huh?" I heard a voice a low, yet captivating male from behind me. I turned to see a man with soft, magenta hair and sapphire blue eyes.
Trying to act like I wasn't planning on spending the night here, I responded with a forced smile and a nod 'yes.'
"Where are your parents, kid?" He asked, seeming concerned, yet keeping a calm and collected attitude.
"U-um, they're working right now." I lied, averting my eyes away from his, thinking of a way to get out of here.
"Really? Because I can see that you were going to spend the night here." He spoke, smirking while staring at my shocked face- eyes widened and mouth slightly agape. How the hell would he know that?
"I'll ask again, where are your parents?" He repeated, forcing me to tell him the truth. I hesitated, but I knew that there wasn't any point in lying to him in the long run.
" I don't have any." I said while looking down at my feet, apart of me wanting to become apart of the floor and just escape this situation.
"Your an orphan?" He asked while approaching me. I looked up, getting ready to defend myself from what this man might do to me. Hurt me? Rape me? Kill me? What ever it was, I wasn't going down without a fight.
However, to my shock, he pulled me to his chest and hugged me.
"Come with me." He said, gently taking my hand and leading out of the slums and into the city. He took me to a small, curry shop, and led me to the second story of it.
"Since your on the older side, if anything happened to me, take care of these rascals." He spoke, letting go of my hand and turning to me.
"How do I know if I can trust you? I don't even know your name." I spoke, giving him a spiteful stare.
"Well, my name is Oda Sakunosuke, but you can call me Odasaku." He introduced himself, looking me straight in the eye. "I have an ability, its called flawless. It allows me to see 6 seconds into the future." He spoke.
"And what do you do for a living?" I asked wanting more answers. Odasku sighed, but eventually gave in.
"I work for the port mafia, a criminal organization." He explained, staring down, seeming he wasn't proud of it.
"So how do I know you wont sell my organs or something?" I asked, concern for my safety.
"This is just something you'll have to trust me with. But if I try anything," He started, while pulling out a hand gun. I flinched while gasping, thinking he was going to kill me. But to my surprise, he handed it to me. "You can shoot me." He finished.
I took the gun from him, placing it in pocket of my worn down jacket.
"Now, before I open this door, who are you?" He asked, knowing that I was also I complete stranger to him. Now slightly trusting him, I spoke.
"My name is [Y/N] [L/N], I'm 14 and i've lived in the slums for 7 years." I explained.
"And seeming you weren't shocked at the fact I have an ability, i'm going out on a limb here and saying you have one?" He asked again.
I hesitated, I did have an ability, but it was something I hoped never to use. "You can tell me." He spoke again.
"My ability is called Dei Perfecta, and it allows me to copy and others abilities, as long as I know the name of their ability and the name of the user." I explained, looking up at him.
"Well, now that we know each other, don't wake them up." He spoke. I was just about to ask what he meant, but before words could come our of my mouth, he opened the door to reveal 5, very young children, asleep on small beds.
He pointed to each of them, while whispering their names, not wanting to wake them up. "Kousuke, Katsumi, Sakura, Yuu and Shinji." Odasaku introduced me to them. "You can talk to them in the morning." He spoke. "Thank you." I spoke under my breath. He didn't say a word, but looked at me in place of his words. He smiled slightly before turning around and leaving.
I sat on the floor and against the wall, getting ready to sleep. I was already used to spending my nights like this, so it wasn't a problem. I took of my jacket and placed it in between my head and the wall, providing some level of comfort.
Slowly, I fell asleep, letting all of it set in.
