Sorry for the lack of updates, school has been pretty consuming ❤️ i miss you guys so much

also, would you guys want a face reveal?

You and Dazai stared into each it other's eyes for what seemed like forever. There was a comfortable yet crushing silence as the both of you remained quiet, until Dazai decided to break it.

"You should go home."

As the words left his mouth, you felt your heart sink to your stomach. You tried your best to hold back a sad expression as you forced a smile.

"M-maybe I should. Goodnight Osamu."

You reluctantly waved goodbye as you turned around and began walking home. You began to run despite the fact you heard him call your name. Harshly wiping the tears away from your eyes, you didn't notice when you were about to run into someone. Your body collided with someone, causing you to trip and fall.  You looked up at who you bumped into.

"Oh, [Y/N]." Who else but your partner Atsushi. "Here, let me help you." He reached his hand out, helping you get up.

"Is everything alright?" He asked, his voice laced with concern as the two of you walked toward a nearby bench.

"W-well, something happened between me and Dazai." You hesitantly stuttered out. "He told me, a secret, and then I told him one of mine. I'm sorry Atsushi-kun, but I can't tell you what they are..."

"That's alright [Y/N], but, did he hurt you in any way?" Atsushi asked, you noticed how his fist clenched at the thought of you being hurt.

"No no! Well, not physically. You see, we almost came close to k-kissing, but he ended up just telling me to go home. I can't help but wonder if he sees me differently now." You explained, wiping away a tear that managed to slip from your eye.

Atsushi placed a hand on your back in condolence. You could tell that Atsushi was thinking quite a lot, but you couldn't tell what exactly consumed his mind.

"I'm sorry [Y/N], is there anything I can do?" His lips curve into a sheepish smile. You shook your head no, turning away from him. "Then at least let me walk you home, I don't like the thought of leaving you alone right now."

"Thanks Atsushi." You blushed at his kindness as the two of you got up and began making your way home. You couldn't help but notice that something was wrong with your partner. His gorgeous violet and cadmium orbs didn't match his words nor his smile. However, he acted confused whenever you brought it up with him. One other thing- you noticed he had began to grow distant and cold towards Dazai despite being his subordinate. You couldn't help but wonder if something had happened between those two.

Finally, the two of you made it home. You quickly jumped into his arms, catching him off guard while wrapping your arms around his back, nuzzling your head into his neck, indulging in his warmth. "Thank you, you made me feel so much better." You whispered out as you felt him gently hug you back.

"Oh, [Y/N], of course you chose Dazai over me..." You just barely head him whisper under his breath.

"What?" You asked, pulling away from him, a smile and a blush still plastered on your face. "Uh, nothing! And your welcome." He said as he forced another smile.

"Whatever you say then... Goodnight Atsushi-kun."

"Goodnight [Y/N]."

As you opened your front door, your eyes widened hearing a sob escape from Atsushi's lips as you heard him begin to run.
