Chapter 11

Lapis P.O.V.

"PERIDOT WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!" I yelled as I summoned my wings

She yelled a glitchy scream, I felt my heart lurch as I saw the pain on peridot's face. She typed something quickly, going fast through the computer's data. Her eyes widened and she angrily threw it at the wall.

"Peri, please calm down.." I said as I reached my my hand towards her

She dropped the sword and walked towards me cautiously. As Peridot walked towards me Steven ran over and picked up Garnets gems. Peridot nudged my hand with her hair. I gently petted her hair and she made a glitchy purring sound. I let my wings disappear and I hugged Peri. I sat down so I could be eyes level with her. Tears fell down her face and she collapsed into my arms. I hugged her as tears slipped down my face. She let out a glitchy scream of pain. I held her face as she squeezed her eyes shut in pain. When she opened her eyes, the area surrounding her pupils was completely black now. She whimpered in pain as the streaks on her body grew larger.

"N-No! Peri...this is my fault! I'm sorry I shouldn't leave you alone..I know you hate being alone!" I said as my tears fell on the small gem

She looked up at me and gave a weak smile. She sat up and my hand fell off her face. She sat up and looked up at me. She wiped my tears off my face, as she smiled.

"Peri I'm not ready to lose you!" I whimpered

She put her hands on the back of my head. She leaned forward and pressed her lips against mine. My eyes widened as warmth blossomed in my chest. She released me and stood up. I watched in shock as she backed away from me. Pearl pulled Steven towards where parts of the building fell apart. Massive chunks of rubble fell from the ceiling. Pearl and Amethyst quickly Ruby and Sappire's gems. Steven pulled me towards him and bubbled us. I stared at Peridot as the rubble fell around her and caught fire.

"PERIDOT!" I yelled desperately

She gave a weak smile as black ink bleed out of her wounds. She waved at me as tears slipped down her face. I reached my hand towards her and she just smiled and shook her head. The fire spread to Peridot and she poofed.
