First date disaster|Ponyboy

You look in the mirror, you feel like a new person wearing this new dress. You know you probably can't afford it but it's just too beautiful. "You have to buy it!" Your friend Marcia says.

"Pony would fall head over heels seeing you in that dress. It's the first date you have to dress to impress."

"It's only our first date, it doesn't need to be that fancy." You reply.

"Well he better take you somewhere special. He better not be taking you somewhere cheap."

"Don't worry it will be perfect"

"it better be! I already didn't want you dating this dude, but if he has horrible date options. Oh you don't want to know." You laugh a little at that. You had just begun dating Ponyboy Curtis, and yes that is his real name, you didn't expect him to bring you to the high end of town but was maybe hoping for something a little nice. Your friend looks at you.

"Listen Y/N I'm paying for this dress in hopes this boy takes you somewhere special tonight."

"Oh, no I can't let you do that. This dress is too expensive. I got it, it's my dress." Your friend gives you the stare and walks off to go pay. You know when she gives you the stare you don't argue.

Later that night you are almost ready for what you expect to be the best night ever. That's when there is a knock at your door. "Ponyboy!" You rush to the door and swing it open to see his smiling face. He has a nice blue T-shirt on with some khakis. You father comes over and lays down the rules about being home before 3 and blah blah blah. You rush out the door and hop into Pony's car. He chases after you. "Where to first?" You ask. "Um, where do you wanna go?" He replies. "Um......." You start thinking does he not have a reservation at a restaurant? "Are you hungry?" He asked. "Um sure." You reply. "Ok, let's go to........." "Denny's!? Man Y/N I love Denny's." You start thinking. Was this the right idea? Maybe things will get better. "I guess, sure." When you get to Denny's you start thinking. This could still turn out to be a great night. Ponyboy smiles down on you like he knows what you're thinking. "This night is gonna be great." You smile back at him. You two walk in and you see that there are a lot of people. Why are there so many people here?! It's Friday night! Not Saturday morning when they have all kids free deals. Ponyboy also looks confused but he continues to walk up to the host. "Hi, um can I um get a table for two please?" The host looks at Pony a little overwhelmed. "Um, sure. Just what name will it be? Also what time tomorrow?" Pony looks confused. "Um, it would be under PonyBoy. Yes that is the name. Also, what do you mean tomorrow?" "You wanna make a reservation for tomorrow, correct?" "Um no." "Well we can't get you a table until tomorrow unfortunately." Ponyboy looked a little disappointed. "Ok thank you anyways." Pony looks at you and grabs your hand and starts walking out with you. "How are they that swamped? They never are this busy?" You notice a sign on the side of the wall that says "Free meal for each A+." You decide not to bring it up to Pony.

"Hey I have an idea!" Pony says.

"Oh really?" You reply with a little surprise.

"Ya! Lets go to the Drive-in!"

Pony seemed so happy with that idea. You decide to be energetic with him! When you get to the drive in you two decide to get tickets to the horror movie side. You guys get out and park Pony's car in the parking lot so you can sit in the seating area that has the best views. You grab some snacks to make up for missing dinner tonight. Pony then says "Oh really?" You reply with a little surprise. "Ya! Lets go to the Drive-in!" Pony seemed so happy with that idea. You decide to be energetic with him! When you get to the drive in you two decide to get tickets to the horror movie side. You guys get out and park Pony's car in the parking lot so you can sit in the seating area that has the best views. You grab some snacks to make up for missing dinner. You start throwing popcorn at Pony who is catching it in his mouth somehow. When you get to the seats you realize there doesn't seem to be any left. The movie was about to start so you and Pony decided to run to the car and park it and sit in the truck. Pony starts the car while you look for a spot that works for Pony's car. You can't seem to find one. Why was this happening tonight? Of all nights why did this all have to happen tonight? Pony drives over to you. "Spotted any spots?" You look at him with a little disappointment. Pony realises what you're thinking and opens the car door.

"Pony, maybe I should just go home."

"But, Y/N it's only 10. But if you want to I guess I will take you home."

He starts to drive you home. You almost feel like crying. Maybe this is fate telling me that Pony isn't right for me. Then the car comes to a stop. "Pony?" You look over but Pony isn't there. Oh no, did he just disappear? You start looking around. You're in the middle of the road. You turn around and a dude is standing so close to you and you slap him. With all your force. Then you realize its Pony! "Oh my gosh Pony! Don't do that!" Pony starts laughing with pain.

"You really hit me hard didn't you?"

"Why did you do that!? We are in the middle of nowhere and in the middle of the road!"

"No not no where. I wanted to make one last stop before we make this night come to an end." Pony points across the road. It's an empty lot. Pony stands up and grabs your hand and runs across the street with you.

"Pony? What is this place?"

"Just lay down." He tells you with a smile on his face. "Now close your eyes."

"Wha-"

"Just do it you'll see!" You can hear him lay down next to you.

"Now open your eyes- BUT very slowly" You follow Pony's directions and you look and you see so many beautiful starts. You can see so many of them! "Wow!"

"I know right? I come here when I need to think." You just layed there for a while with Pony in silence.

After a while Pony came over to you and started spooning you then fell asleep. You decided to snuggle back into him and fell asleep in his arms. Maybe this first date disaster wasn't such a disaster after all.
