Andromeda

A few days had passed, and I've been sleeping in the spare room in the big house until they'd make a lonesome cabin for all the Gods that I would sleep in. I had been getting lessons from satyrs, nymphs, and a centaur on how to use and control my powers, and sometimes I ran off and hid from my studies at the firepit where I had met the Goddess of the hearth, Hestia. She was very kind and was the only one to teach me how to control my fire abilities that I had gained from Hephaestus. The only things I had trouble with were the lightning and flying, no one had those powers, so I have been having the most challenging time with that.
I sighed as I tried to listen to Chiron on how to control my emotions and powers and how not to mix the two together. I had to do private sword lessons with Luke, and I hated how all the swords felt in my hands. Some were too long, too short, too heavy, too light, too wide, too thin. I sighed in annoyance as Luke picked one out for me, and it was the one that was too light and too thin. I sighed, but I got into my stance and got beaten around before I got too frustrated. Thankfully, before I burst into flames, he called for a break. He doused himself with water, and I did the same, relishing in the cool liquid running down my back, giving me some much-needed energy. I wiped my hands off on my shorts before grabbing the sword and quickly disarming him.

Later that night, it was time for capture the flag. I quickly got dressed, ripping my jeans in the process, shoving my curls into a high ponytail, and running towards the pavilion where everyone was waiting, and I stood there, finding a spot next to Percy.

"Where have you been? I haven't seen you ever since that night on the beach." He whispered.
"Oh gosh, that was you? I'm so sorry. I was just having a rough night, I guess." I whispered back as my face flared.
"No, I was just worried for you... hey, after this, meet me at the beach." He whispered back as I nodded once, and Chiron called to the campers.
"Heroes!" He yelled before he announced the rules.
Luke had put us on border patrol, so we stayed close to the creek while everyone else ran off into the woods, and Percy thought now was the best time to ask me about what I talked about when I was with Chiron and Mr. D.
"I wish I could tell you, but they told me not to tell anyone. If it changes, you'll be the first to know... ok? I just need you to trust me." I sighed. Before he could answer, a deep growl sounded behind us. I raised my sword as he raised his shield before the growling stopped, and then behind us, Clarisse yelled.
"Cream the punks!"
"You take half, and I take half?" He asked as I nodded.
Too soon, they pinned us. They grabbed Percy and me.
"Cut her hair!" One yelled. Oh, hell no. It took me 12 years to grow out these curls; I am not getting a haircut now. I struggled in their grasp as Percy managed to get out of their grip and body slam Clarisse away from me. One of her siblings slashed his arm and shoved him into the water.
"Percy!" I yelled as I struggled to get out of their grasp. He stood up and slammed the flat of his blade into one guy's head and then went after the other two that were charging him. He was still in the water, and that's when I figured out who his father was. It couldn't be anyone else but Poseidon, God of the sea. His eyes, his hair, and his facial structure matched him perfectly—Son of the Sea.
As soon as he took down Clarisse, our team came over with a red flag, cheering. But everything stopped almost instantly when a loud howl ripped through the air, and everyone got ready to fight. The hellhound jumped over everyone and started to tear Percy to shreds. I couldn't control myself.
"BACK UP!" I screamed as the hellhound looked up at me, pausing, before slowly stepping away from the shredded boy. I put my hand up fiercely as I stepped over Percy, protecting him with my body until Chiron shot a volley of arrows into the large black dog before it fell down, dead. Everyone was shocked into silence, but I ignored them. I pulled Percy's arm over my shoulder and brought him into the water as it healed him.
As he stood up, his father claimed him, and everyone kneeled.
"Poseidon, Earthshaker, Stormbringer, Father of Horses. Hail, Percy Jackson, Son of the Sea God.
