Andromeda

The following day Chiron moved Percy to cabin 3, where he stayed all alone. I felt terrible for him.
Nobody mentioned the hellhound, but I think they were actually just talking about it behind my back. To be honest, I had no idea what to make of that whole night. The other campers had steered clear of Percy and me, but thankfully we weren't alone, and now, Luke was training us together when it came to sword class. Actually, I now have most of my courses with Percy, and we probably goof off more than we learn anything.

That night I had a nightmare. Like most of my nightmares, it only spits out images and snippets of the crash.
The fire was so hot, and my head was killing me. I couldn't see straight, I kept going in and out of consciousness, not letting me see everything before everything went a bright white, and 12 figures stood around me. I couldn't see their faces, but I felt warm like I had just eaten a freshly baked cookie and some hot chocolate, and all my pain had somehow vanished.
"She is the chosen child?" A rough male voice asked.
"Why her?" A soft women's voice questioned.
"To give her a second chance at life. She would have died otherwise." Another woman answered.
"I agree. Give the girl a chance to prove herself." A stern women's voice sounded.
"She deserves a second chance. She is one of the kindest children I've seen in a long time." A cheery male voice bubbled.
"She thinks of others before herself; she will make for, quite possibly, one of the best heroes." A powerful male voice added.
"The perfect soulmate for my son." Another man finished before I felt something enter my body, burning and pounding on my chest before I opened my eyes to a scene change into a hospital.
"Doctor! She's awake!" A nurse yelled as she ran to the door. I remember her, she wanted to adopt me, but the hospital wouldn't let her.
I was in so much pain; I woke myself up screaming. That was the first time I had seen more than just a few scenes.

I shook my head before I got dressed and walked downstairs to see Chiron, Grover, and Percy sitting at the table. I walked down until I caught what they were saying.
"- A quest, will you take it?" Chiron asked as my stomach made loops, and I crept back up the stairs before they noticed me.
I sat in my room until I heard footsteps going past my door and up to the attic. I let out a breath before walking downstairs to find Chiron and Grover.
"You're up, good," Chiron said as he stepped back and Percy came down. They talked for a few minutes as I forced myself to wake up.
"But a quest to... I mean, couldn't the master bolt be in someplace like Maine? Maine's very nice this time of year." Grover tried.
"Yes, it is." They looked at me. "What? I went to school once in Bar Harbor." I shrugged as I zoned out until Annabeth shimmered into existence next to me. I let out a yelp and jumped, hitting my knee on the table as she shot a glare at me.
"If you're going to save the world, I'm the best person to keep you from messing up." She said.
"A trio," Percy said. "That'll work."
"Not exactly." Chiron started.
"No, She can't come. It'll kill our chances!" Annabeth yelled, pointing at me as my brows rose.
"Excuse me?" I asked as her hard grey eyes burned into my blue ones. I didn't back down.
"Ladies!" Chiron said as we both looked at him. "She is more needed than you believe." He said as my neck burned. "We can take you as far as the Manhattan bus terminal this afternoon, but after that, you're on your own." He added. "No time to waste; I think you should all start packing."
