Andromeda
"So, did you get claimed?" Astra, a daughter of Apollo, asked me.
Like I've told everyone else. "No, I didn't." I smiled falsely before she ran off. I was getting a bit turked off with everyone asking me that, so I skipped the burning of the shrouds and just sat alone on the dock with my feet playing in the water.
"Hey? What's up?" Percy asked as he sat down next to me. "You look so lonely."
"Alone doesn't always mean lonely." I tried.
"Oh, do you want me to leave then-?" He asked as he started to get up.
"No!" I shouted pulling him back down. "No... I- I don't mind the company." I blushed darkly as I tried to wave the water ladies away.
"Lonely?" He asked again.
"Maybe a little." I blushed harder before looking up into his eyes.***
On the Fourth of July, cabin 9 was in charge of the fireworks, and the whole camp gathered on the beach to watch. Percy and I laid out a blanket just as Grover came over to say goodbye.
"Do you have enough cans for your trip?" I asked him.
"Yeah."
"And your Reed pipes?" I pushed.
"Jeez, Andromeda, you're like an old mama goat." He laughed.
"I know... come here." I smiled as I opened my arms and he came in and hugged me.
"Just be careful... ok?" I looked up, making sure my eyes were big.
"Ok, I'll be safe." He sighed with a small smile on his face.
"How did you do the thing with the eyes?" Percy asked.
"Being the youngest, and only daughter, I had to find ways to get a few things." I smirked as the first fireworks started to go off.***
July passed. And Today was the last day of Camp.
This summer I had made a few new friends, like Annabeth (ish), Astral from the Athena cabin, Brianna from the Demeter cabin, Connor and Travis for the Hermes cabin, Holly from the Aphrodite cabin, and... Percy. I had my first kiss... with the Son of Poseidon. Does he even remember it? No. Don't be foolish, Andromeda. You're just... well, you. And he's... everything. I smiled dreamily. Stop it! You don't- you shouldn't like him! What are you doing? He'll leave... just like everyone else. Why do you still believe that some handsome hero will scoop you up and take you away from this life and into one that is filled with love and never being abandoned. I scolded myself. Get a grip, girl and shake this fantasy from your head, and stop being so damn cliche! I rolled my eyes and got off the big rock overlooking Long Island Sound.
Just as I landed, I heard Luke. A smile grew on my face until I heard what Luke was saying. Tears brimmed in my eyes, but never fell... that was until Percy started towards the water. Panic rushed through me as I bolted towards him.
"Help," He croaked out. "Please." He whimpered as I wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I tried to pull him back to camp. I wouldn't be able to get him there in time.
"Apollo!" I cried out. "Please! Help me heal him!" I said as I yanked, the last thing I had from my old life, my locket, off my neck and threw it into the sky. It shimmered and dissapeared before my hands started to glow with the warmth of the sun and I pressed them against his chest. He wasn't breathing.
I started to sob until his chest began to rise and fall once more.
"Oh, thank Gods." I whimpered as I brushed the tears off my face and dragged him to the big house.
As soon as we had arrived, Chiron came galloping over to me with worry all over his face as he scooped us up and brought us over to a chair where Annabeth gave him nectar and I told them what happened.
"You're lying!" Annabeth yelled at me.
"No, she's not." Percy said as he woke up. "That's mostly what happened." He said before continuing to tell what happened in between sips. I accidentally zoned out when a butterfly flew past me.Percy went and talked to Annabeth for a little while before she left and he came back over to me.
"So..." He started.
"Yeah?" I rose my eyebrows at him.
"My mom and I were wondering if you'd like to stay with us for the school year?" He asked as a grin planted itself on my face.
"I'd love to."
