Andromeda
After a few hours of walking, we finally made it to a shop that smelled wonderfully of cheeseburgers.
"What does that say?" Percy asked.
"I don't know." Annabeth answered.
"I'll be your translator, I can read in both. 'AUNTY EM'S GARDEN GNOME EMPORIUM'." I read from the sign.
"How can you read both?" Annabeth asked.
"I taught myself." I shrugged.
"I can too!" Grover grinned before his face quickly fell.
"What?" I asked.
"I smell monsters." He sniffed the air before Annabeth and Percy reprimanded him.
"Let me know if it gets worse." I whispered to him as he nodded and we followed the two into the building.
A woman wearing a long black gown with a veil covering her face walked over to us, and Percy told her a ridiculous story about us being circus orphans. I had to try to hide my laughter behind my hand, but thankfully she told us to head to the back so she could make us some food.
After Percy and Annabeth had finished their food, I was almost done with my milkshake when I started to feel strange I glanced over at Grover and he was getting a bit more antsy, I could relate.
"We need to get out of here." I whispered to him as he nodded.
"I have to use the bathroom." I jumped up, startling Annabeth and Percy.
"Here's the bathing key, it's right down the hall.
"Come on, Annabeth, I'm too stupid to get there myself." I said as I yanked her up and pulled her away.
"Hey!" She exclaimed.
"She keeps mentioning your 'beautiful grey eyes', wake the heck up!" I whisper yelled at the girl.
"What are you getting at?" She asked.
"Come on, use that brain of yours. Who, in mythology, has grey eyes? Your mother. Now, who else, in mythology, hates your mother for cursing her... oh, and she had two sisters?" I bit.
"Med-" I slapped my hand over her mouth.
"Exactly. We have to go." I snapped as we walked back to the boys to see Percy sitting on a bench with a shaking Grover. "I'll sneak up behind her and cut off her head, you go with the boys and tell them I got lost or something." She nodded before we parted and I swiped at my tattoo.
"-she doesn't have a camera..." Percy said as I crept around behind her.
"Look away!" Annabeth yelled as my foot got stuck. Shit. I thought as I slashed at the branches an got myself freed just in time for Medusa to lunge at Percy.
"Duck!" I yelled as Medusa turned towards me and I threw my sword at her neck.
"Oh, yuck." Grover said. "Mega yuck."
"Don't move." Annabeth said as she wrapped up the head in the black veil. "Are you two ok?"
"Yeah." Percy and I both said, breathlessly before Percy decided to send the severed head of the snake woman to the gods.
"They'll think you're impertinent." Annabeth said as he dropped some drachmas into a pouch and the box disappeared with a pop.
"I am impertinent." He sassed as I tried to hide a grin tugging at the corner of my lips.
"Come on," she muttered. "We need a new plan."
