"wake up lazy bones!" Katie screeched, I groaned turning on my side. My head was banging "we have school, and your going to be late" she said ripping off my blankets.

"Why did you let me drink" I groaned sitting up. "Actually if I remember correctly, I told you to slow down after your twelve shots" I smile to myself, because I do infact remember that.

About four glasses of water and two tylenol's later I was ready to go, although I won't lie and say I showered. I was dressed in a baggy hoodie, and black leggings I pulled on my fuzzy socks and then proceeded to put my Nikes on. Grabbing my bag I was about to leave when Katie stopped me "what?" I asked my eyes barely open, "your hair" she said trying not to laugh I groaned and shoved my hair into a messy bun then walked out the door ignoring Katie's laugh's.

I made my way to the cafeteria slower than usual. "Katie" I said sitting down she smiled and was about to say something but froze when drake walked over to us "hey babe" he said planting a kiss on the side of her head, I gave her a questioning look and she shrugged her face turning red "come sit with us" he said motioning towards the table where the rest of 'the five' was waiting, she looked at me an unspoken question in her eyes "yea go ahead, we'll catch up later" she gave me a grateful smile and walked back to there table and when I say everyone's eyes were on them, I mean that literally.

I sighed grabbing my stuff and shuffled out the cafeteria, making my way to the library to study for my finals "hey Missy" I said greeting the librarian, "oh hello dear, are you feeling sick....you don't look to good" she asked giving me a sympathetic look "just a migraine" I say although it is partially true my head is killing me, "well, I can get Billy in here so he can heal you" she said making her way to the phone "oh no, it's quite alright, I just need to study before my next class" she smiled and I waved heading over to the lounge part of the library and pulled out my potions and poisons text book.

After twenty or so minutes of flipping through pages I groaned setting the text book down when I heard a squeaky sound, I sat up looking around when I heard it again suddenly something fuzzy touched my hand and I screamed, and the moment I did I felt a weird tingling in my hand. And a little ways from it was a dead mouse, I stared at it in confusion that definitely was not there before I looked at my hand and to the mouse my chest heaving. The ringing from my phone made me jump but when I realized what it was I answered quickly.

"Hello?" I asked my voice still shaky

"Double A!" Ryan's annoying voice rang through the phone, though I still took in a sigh of relief shoving my book back in my bag and getting up.

"What do you want?" I asked trying to calm myself down.

"I just noticed you look bummier than usual today"

"Your an ass"

Missy gave me a pointed look when I walked by her desk and I mouthed 'sorry' to her before leaving.

"Why weren't you at lunch?"

"That's really none of your concern"

"Uhm okay, look Aaliyah about the da-"

"Ryan I really have to go" I say cutting him off and hanging up the phone, I wasn't trying to be mean but my mind was spinning did I kill that mouse? And if so how?

"I don't know Amiyah, I'm freaking out" I was pacing back in forth in her room, after the incident in the library I called her and skipped my 5th block so I could explain what was going on.

"Are you sure it wasn't already dead?" She asked.

"Look Amiyah, I heard a squeaky noise; the mouse. Then it crawled on my hand then I screamed, then it was dead" I tell her, I look at my hands remembering the strange sensation I felt "also my hand was like tingling" she froze, looking me dead in the eye "how was it?" She asked taking a step forward "what?" Her eyebrows were furrowed and her usual lit up face was drawn in concern "the tingling, how did it feel?" She rephrased I sat down sighing "I don't know, warm...like you know that feeling when you sit on your foot and it falls asleep" I tried to explain, my headache from earlier went from like a five to a ten with a few minutes.
