Sitting up here with everyone in the kingdom watching is rather frightening, especially considering I never took the time to go out and meet my people.

I don't know why, I must have been to concerned with my own problems but at this moment here and now I really regret it. The only faces I recognized are a few guards and the chef.

I scan the crowd trying to identify some of the people and when my eyes land on my fathers I couldn't help but smile. Besides him were Celia, addy and Alex, Kate, kandy, Riley, Nikki, Jug, and Enzo.

I noticed how Alex and Riley were holding hands and Jug had his arm thrown over Addy's shoulders. How had I missed this? It was very obvious from there cheeky smiles that these kids had a thing for each other.

I am literally the worlds worse sister.

Arina was giving some speech about how 'great' we are and the crowd was eating this up. Movement in the crowd caught my eyes and I watched skeptically as someone pushed through the people, when Ashton appears by Nikki and kissed her cheek I let out a breath.

It was just Ashton.

Looking back to my father I noticed he was looking at me as well a wide smile on his face, and in his eyes he held a look of pride. "They all love you" he mouths and I look across the crowd and see that he's right.

They all have adoration in there eyes and a look of awe across there faces. It's actually strange if you ask me, they don't even know us and yet the adore us.

Suddenly they all burst out into cheers and snapped me from my thoughts.

"Alpha Drake, do you hereby swear to uphold loyalty and honesty not only to your mate but your pack members. And vow not to lead with anger and pride but with love and humility. That you will not let your own selfish needs cloud your judgement in leading your pack?" Arina asked standing in front of him.

"Yes" Drake responds not missing a beat, a man places a golden crown upon his head and Arina smiles slightly.

"Long live Alpha Drake" she says

"Long live Alpha Drake!" The crowd cheers back in response.

Arina walks across the stage to Danielle throne and stands before her "Royale Siren Danielle, do you hereby swear to uphold loyalty and honesty not only to your mate but to the mer people as well. And vow not to lead carelessly but meticulously, that you will not allow your own selfish needs cloud your judgement in leading your people?"

Danielle sighs before speaking "yes"

"Long live Royale Siren Danielle" Arina says.

"Long live Royale Siren Danielle!" They all shout back. The man places a silver tiara on her head.

Arina then makes her way back the opposite way to Greg. "Commander Greg, do you hereby swear to uphold loyalty and honesty not only to your mate but to your fellow Phoenix as well? And vow not to lead with what's between your legs but with a clear mind, that you will not allow your own selfish needs cloud your judgment?"

A wide smile stretches across his face "yep"

"Long live Commander Greg"

"Long live Commander Greg!"

The man places a golden crown similar to drakes upon his head as well.

Arina made her way through each person repeating these words and finally it was my turn and I couldn't help but wonder what she would say.

She made her way in front of me with a smile on her face that I returned. "Princess Aaliyah, do you hereby swear to uphold loyalty and honesty not only to your husband but your people as well?"
