"-in the end it just ended up being a malfunction with the pixie dust"

"Oh wow, how interesting" I say taking a sip of water.

So far my date with the prince has been absolutely boring, all I can think about is getting back to the gym and this dude doesn't stop talking.

He pulled me from my thoughts by placing his hand on mine "I just feel like I can't tell you anything" he says looking me directly in the eye.

I force a laugh "you don't have to, like really you don't have to tell me anything at all" I say pulling my hand away.

He just smiles "I'd really like for you to come visit my palace one day" he says.

I clear my throat a bit and pretend to check the time "oh, would you look at that. I have to get to training" i say standing up.

He stands as well "oh okay, I hope to meet again soon?" He asks his eyes hopeful.

I grab the hem of my overly long dress "yep don't hold your breath" I say before taking off.

That dude was weird, I think going down the hall that leads to the gym.

Once I enter I make a beeline straight to the locker room where of all people Ryan was already changing.

Ignoring the draw to him I turn to my locker, pressed my hand against it and closed my eyes.

Within seconds it opened.

"How was your date?" I heard Ryan ask, I took in a deep breath.

"It was cool" I say unzipping my dress.

"Are you interested?" He asked, I turned my attention back to him seeing the desperate look in his eyes.

"Definitely not, dude talks way to much" I try to joke but I end up sounding breathless instead.

He nodded taking a step towards me, I turned my attention back to my locker quickly.

I could feel his eyes on me but I couldn't bring myself to look at him "I don't like that you've been avoiding me" he says his voice closer.

I turn and this time he's directly in front of me, I take in a shaky breath. "Yea well, when your mate is engaged to your long lost sister there's not much else you can do" I say refusing to make eye contact.

"You and I both know I had no say in the matter" he grunted.

I roll my eyes "but you definitely have a say in wether or not your around her or not" I say bitterly images of them laughing together come to mind.

"What else am I supposed to do! When I can't be with the person I actually want!" He snaps.

"Your not the only one who's suffering here!" I hiss back.

He groans taking a step closer and I take one back.

"Then let's not suffer anymore"

I sigh "you and I both know that's not an option"

"Oh really? What's stopping us?"

"I don't know maybe the entire kingdom!"

He groans again taking another step forward and I take one back once again.
