(time rewind??)

Hajime stopped arguing and watched the door swing shut, "Shut up for a second." He said, trying to listen for your footsteps. "No you shut it yo-" Samon stopped his comeback when he noticed that you were gone. "(bleep) she left without me." Said Hajime as he made a break for the door. "Seitarou, cover for me." He said, not hearing the timid 'yes sir' that followed. Not wanting to let Hajime best them the rest of the group followed. No words were said as they raced each other, eager to be the first to get to their car. Samon was the first one to swing open the door being quickly followed by the rest. They each scrambled to their cars, unlike you defiantly not doing the speed limit. Kenshiro took a few extra seconds to snap in his seatbelt as he remembered how many times you had reprimanded him for it. Despite that, he was out of the parking lot first as he had parked the closest to the building. Samon quickly followed, Hajime peeling out of the lot after him with Kiji soon following. They each wanted to be the one to walk with you through the store with you and they each wanted to be the first there. Kenshiro smirked as he saw your car. 'got you.' He thought, right before an expensive looking car in the left lane whipped into the right lane, hitting you head on. Kenshiro slammed on the breaks, narrowly avoiding being hit by your now rolling car. He was jolted forwards as Samon's car bumped into the back of his car. "WHAT ARE YOU-" He was cut off as he watched as your car flew into the air. Hajime and Kiji didn't hit each other as they slammed on the breaks. Their years of training seemed to vanish as they watched your car roll. Only when your car slammed into the road sign did they move. They could only watch as an ambulance sped down the street. 'did someone call an ambulance?' wandered Samon vaguely. The speed at which the ambulance arrived was suspicious to both Kiji and Hajime. Your car had somehow not caught fire. They watched with baited breath as a person dressed in red scrubs ran to your car. As Namba guards, they were all trained in medical care to some degree. The person they assumed was a paramedic broke several procedures by pulling you out of the car without regard for your lulling head. The person wasn't wearing gloves. As the doors to what they assumed was an ambulance was opened, there was none of the machines that should have been present. Instead the walls bore weapons of many kinds. It was too late that they realized that all of the medical staff wore the same type of specially issued Namba scrubs which were the unusual color of black. It was too late when they realized that the vehicle that you had been loaded into wasn't an ambulance. "TAIL THE VAN." Yelled Hajime, quickly getting back into his car and slamming the door. Disregarding the speed limit, he slammed on the gas and picked up his phone. The ambulance was also speeding away. "Warden Hyakushiki. Deputy (y/n) was hit head on. Her car flipped." The Warden cut him off. "I'll send an ambulance right away." "She's been abducted by someone impersonating a paramedic. The supervisors of building 5, 3, and 4 and I are giving chase right now." "Did you see the face of the impersonator?" asked Momoko, the concern not only for the supervisors chasing the ambulance but for her possibly mortally wounded friend that had been taken hostage evident in her voice, "No mam. He was wearing a mask. There are weapons inside the ambulance." "The road has been blocked off. I'm sending backup." With that, she hung up. With traffic gone, Hajime moved into the left lane. Kenshiro, who had been behind him, pulled up next to him in the right. "Is backup on the way?" he asked. Hajime nodded, "And traffic is cut off." "WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU DUMB GORILLA?" yelled Samon, pulling up behind Kenshiro, "TRAFFIC'S CUT OFF." "And backup is on the way. Are you deaf or something?" Said Kiji, now behind Hajime. "This isn't the time to argue." Said Kenshiro. This was followed by four loud raps. A few months ago, someone had shot at you while you were in your car. The only reason why you hadn't been killed was the necklace you had worn that day. Despite the manhunt that swept the island, the perpetrator wasn't found. After that, the Warden had ordered every vehicle used by Namba's employees be outfitted with bulletproof windows as she assumed it was a strike against Namba itself, not just you. You had learned a lot from your father, including how to, as he said, edit your past, so no one knew about anything. Hajime was glad for the bulletproof glass as four bullets hit right where his head was. While it was bulletproof, the glass could only take so much. The doors of the 'ambulance' were now open, a man standing on the edge. With one hand he held onto the frame of the van, and with the other he held an automatic. Next he went for Kenshiro, getting the same result. Without hesitation, Hajime slammed on the gas, making the vehicle lurch forward. Samon saw what he was doing and went to assist. A helicopter flew overhead, shouting commands that fell on deaf ears. Because they were closest, the four supervisors were first in line to try to stop the 'ambulance'. Hajime and Samon rammed into the van from the side. The driver made eye contact with Hajime. (not your eye color) eyes bore into him with an anger that could challenge that of Momoko. Though now grey with age, his (not your hair color) hair was done up neatly. Unlike that the gun wielding man who had stolen you out of your car, he was wearing a crisp suit. His face was marred with both scars and wrinkles. A single ring was on his finger. It bore the symbol of a well-known mafia that had connections to the man with the scar on the back of his neck. He must have been the leader judging by his attire. 'why are they coming for (y/n)?' thought Hajime. The realization in Hajime's face must have been apparent as the leader narrowed his eyes further and took one hand off of the wheel to reach for what he assumed to be a gun. The leader was distracted by a sudden noise coming from inside the van. The leader turned around to see that you were up and fighting. Despite you badly dislocated shoulder, you punched the gun wielding nurse impersonator in the face. He dropped the gun he was holding but dove for another that was hung on the walls. You tried to take a step but your ankle crumpled under the weight. Your head was spinning as you crawled towards the man, determined to fight. "Hey (bleep)head. Take the wheel." Came your father's voice from the front seat. The man immediately relented and went to take the wheel. For the first time in years, your father stepped into your view. "You thought you could just leave?" His sentence was punctuated by a hit to the van from the side. While your father stood firm on his feet you were thrown against the side of the van. A breath of pain exited your lips as your badly bruised back slammed into the meatal. "You learned a lot from me I see. Different name. Different appearance. Different country. A job on one of the most secluded places on Earth. You did well, kid." "Don't call me kid." You spat as he took a step forwards. "(Y/N)." Came Samon's voice. Both of you looked to see Samon leaning out of the side of his car looking at you with wide eyes. You looked back to your father who took another step towards you. "We could have been a solid pair, you and I. We looked so much alike before you let yourself go so much." He said in the eerie calm voice he always used before executing someone. "I escaped a life of horror. I'd rather die than live like you." He chuckled, "I don't think your four lovers would appreciate that very much, you whore." He said, voice darkening. You didn't bother to argue back. Your voice was fading fast and so was your consciousness. "You could have been so great." He whispered as he leaned closer. "But-" He took a step back, "You chose death instead." He pulled out his favorite handgun out from his jacket pocket, the one he said you would wield one day, and pointed it at your head. "At least I listened to your advice." "And what would that be?" he said, finger on the trigger. You smirked, "Keep your cards close to your chest." The tranqualizer gun you always carried with you slid out of your jacket pocket and into your hand. Before he could do anything to stop you, you fired a dart at him, hitting him in the thigh. It took effect immediately. You made a mental note to thanks Qi when you got back. 'if I get back' you mused. The van was suddenly rammed, sending it flying just it had done to your car. You finally lost consciousness as you were thrown from the open back of the van.

(timeskip)

The room was empty when you woke up. The whirring and beeping of machines were the only sounds that filled your ears as you sat up. You couldn't quite pinpoint where the pain came from as it came from seemingly everywhere. You whipped off the covers to see that you were covered in many bandages. Your left ankle, the one that had caused you to fall in the van, was wrapped. Your dislocated shoulder was now in a sling. There was a pair of crutches at your bedside. You took them up and struggled to stand up. After a few minutes you were up. You hobbled out of your room, pleased to be in some of your own clothes instead of the crinkly hospital ground. You made it to the breakroom where you found your four supervisors. "(y/n), what are you doing up?" Asked Kenshiro as he came to your side. He helped you to the couch where the rest of them crowded around. "We thought we had lost you." Said Kiji, tears in his eyes like the drama queen he was. You chuckled, "I'm fine." "You almost died. They were barely able to save you." Said Samon, not making eye contact with you. You sighed, "Come here you baby." He trudged to you and carefully sat next to you, still not looking at you. You laid your head on him. Hajime crossed his arms and huffed. You rolled your eyes and held out your other arm form him. He plopped down next to you and laid his head gently on your shoulder. Kiji walked around and hugged you from behind where you sat on the couch. Kenshiro stomped over to you and, seeing no place for him to sit, lifted you up and sat down, placing you on his lap. The rest of the group grumbled but dared not to fight.

(bonus scene)

"(Y/N)!" yelled Samon as you fell from the ladder. Luckily he caught you before you fell to the floor. "(Y/n) how many times do we have to tell you that you can't put up the decorations by yourself?" Said Kenshiro. This was the third time that this had happened. The third time today. You jumped out of Samon's hands, "Are you saying that I'm incapable?" You said going to get back on the ladder. "Okay that's enough party planning for you." Said Hajime taking you off the ladder and dragging you away, "Kiji, handle the rest of the decorations, would you?" "With pleasure." Hajime was later found in the hallway, a tranquillizer dart in his arm. You were found on the ladder, taping the last decoration up.
