I woke up again to the alarm ringtone. I grabbed my phone and snoozed it quickly before Valentine could hear. I grabbed my hoodie, put my shoes on and made my way downstairs to the bench. A few minutes later I had made it to the bench and was waiting for Lily to meet me there. The dream I had earlier never came back and finished. How am I supposed to look at her after I thought about her in such a lustful way? It's never happened to me before. I could feel myself falling into those thoughts again, I forcefully pushed the thought out of my head. A couple of minutes later I felt the energy I had now grown used to. This pulling darkness, it felt like I couldn't resist it, like going to it would make my life so much better. Then out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lily, wearing all black as usual with her fair skin and jet black hair. I just wanted to run my finger through her hair and feel its softness.
What is she doing to me?
All of a sudden I decided to do something extremely stupid.
"When you make a deal with a Devil, to break it do you HAVE to make a blood oath to Satan?"
I saw Lily look at me and raise her eyebrow, it was so hard not to just lean over and kiss her.
"You sure you wanna waste your question on that?" She asked, still staring at me.
"Yeah," I said now looking down, avoiding her glance.
"Alright then. I don't know, I have never tried it the other way. I mean I'd assume that if you can make a deal with a Devil then you can make one with an Angel too. But I don't know how it works out with the whole blood oath thing."
Then it burst out of me without thinking I asked another question.
"Do you have a knife?" I asked turning to look at Lily right in the eyes.
I saw her eyes widen in what I could tell was shock. I watched her pull out the most beautiful blade I have ever seen. It looked like it was made out of pure obsidian. The hilt had a golden dragon etched into it.
"It's enhanced with black magic, won't kill you but it will hurt, you might feel a bit faint though," she said hesitantly, giving me the knife.
I looked at the knife I was now holding in my hand. I took the palm of my left hand and dug the tip of the blade into it, slowly I sliced a cut into my hand going across my palm. Lily was right, I immediately started to feel a little faint but it went away quickly. I closed my hand into a fist and let the blood seep through my hand and watched as a single drop fell and hit the ground.
"I return this deal back to where it belongs. In the name of God and all things holy return back down to Hell. I hereby remove this deal from my body," I said in my best attempt of doing the opposite of an oath to Satan.
Suddenly I saw the drop that fell start glowing white and dissolve into the ground. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lily collapse.
"Shit, Lily, Lily!" I said, starting to turn frantic. "Come on, wake up Lily."
Suddenly I saw her shake a little and wake back up holding her head.
"Ugh, damn, the deal is off but remind me never to do that again," she said weakly.
I almost tackled her when I hugged her. I didn't even mean to, it just came naturally. I could finally feel her warmth on me and I didn't want to let go.
"Ok, someone is happy to see me awake," she said awkwardly.
"Sorry, I just thought..." I started saying, quickly letting go of her.
