"And so in conclusion, devils are specially built to take people's souls so that they can be delivered to hell. Demons, on the other hand, can force people to commit sin. I wish you guys luck wherever you end up on Earth. Have a fun year there and remember to do your job or else it throws off the whole cycle."

I heard the bell ring and I started to walk out, then I heard my teacher's voice again. "Judas and Lily please stay for a little longer," My best friend Judas groaned and turned back around, I followed him.

"You guys are the most powerful Devil and Demon in Hell other than your parents and Satan himself. Please set an example for the others. Do your job and put your own twist on it. Good luck."

"Yeah, thanks teach," I heard Judas say in his usual raspy voice.

We walked out and started making our way out of the school.

"So, my place tonight," I said.

"Yeah, do you still have some weed?" Judas asked me.

"Hell yeah I do," I said laughing.

"Hey, it's hotter than usual today, you could say it's hot as hell," Judas says looking down and chuckling to himself.

"I both hate you and love you for saying that," I said rolling my eyes.

Judas has been my best friend ever since we were little. Although I started out being taller than him, in middle school he had his big growth spurt and is now 6'3 as opposed to my 5'8. He has dark brown hair, his eyes are the same color as his hair. He likes to wear his hair long and sometimes messy. But it looks more like controlled chaos than an actual mess.

We continued to make our way to my house and after a few minutes of silence, I finally spoke.

"So, are you excited about tomorrow? 18 years living in Hell and now we can actually be free on Earth. We get to do our jobs, and living in New York City is going to be amazing. My dad says he got the apartment set up and everything."

Judas nodded enthusiastically.

"Of course I'm excited, I love Hell but dude, a year with no parents and our only restrictions are the fact that we have to do some simple jobs. I've been counting down the hours since I was 15."

We finally arrived at my house and went straight upstairs.

"How's your dad feeling about it though?" Judas asked me after we took a couple of hits of weed each.

"Same as always, he's protective and expects a lot from me. What can I say though? Nothing but perfection from the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith."

Yeah, my dad is Lucifer and my mom is Lilith. I don't know how they ended up together but they like to say it was during their time on Earth. They met and eventually got married, they had me one year later.

"Well, hopefully, you can fulfill their expectations and maybe even surpass them," Judas says pushing me a little. "Well I need to go home, my parents are coming back soon and I need to finish the chores I said I would do. Ugh, can't wait to move out tomorrow."

"Me too, have fun doing all your chores, I'm probably going to play some more and then go to bed."

"Alright, good night Lily, see you tomorrow."

I gave him a hug and he left my room.

"So are you ready for tomorrow?" I heard my mom say at my door.

I turned around and saw her standing in the frame of the door.

"Yeah, I just have to pack a few more things and I'll be ready."

"Do you have the credit card your dad gave you?" My mom asked, entering my room and sitting at my desk.

"Yeah, I have it in my nightstand but I'm putting it in my bag when I wake up tomorrow," I said sitting on my bed facing her.

"I know the card is unlimited but please don't go crazy. Are you taking all of this weed with you too?"

"Probably, I might buy some while I'm there though, I want to know what weed on Earth is like. I'll decide when I get there."

"Alright well, you're dad stocked up the apartment with drinks and stuff like that. You have food too. He also put in a ton of alcohol, it's illegal for you and Judas to go out and buy it. So your dad will stock up the apartment every so often."

"Good, me and Judas are going to need it," I said laughing.

"I remember when I first went to Earth, I met your father a few days after we got there. We started dating soon after that. Maybe you will meet someone like that too, or there's also Judas, he's a good kid."

My mom doesn't know that I don't like guys, or boys, or men, or Demons, really anything with a penis. I prefer girls, something about them is just so much better. I never told my mom or dad just because I didn't feel like it. Although ever since I got a fade I'm pretty sure they know. Judas knows, and he supports me, he has even helped me get laid. Hell, I lost my virginity to a Devil he found for me.

"Remember," I heard my mom say, cutting through my thoughts, "On Earth, it's boys and girls, not Devils and Demons. Girls are Devils, boys are Demons."

"Yeah I know, I've already been practicing. Look, I need to get to bed now so I can wake up early tomorrow. We will talk in the morning," I said to my mom, growing tired of her questions.

"Alright, I'm making breakfast tomorrow. What do you want?"

I thought about it for a second.

"Waffles," I said, giving her my best innocent smile.

"Ok, waffles it is, good night my little Devil."

"Good night mom," I said rolling my eyes.

I watched her leave the room and close the door behind her. I changed into my pajamas and got into bed. I pulled the covers to my chin and rolled over. Tomorrow I had to move to Earth for a year, I am excited but at the same time, I was extremely nervous. I had never been above Hell, I had to do a good job, I had to take the souls of the people who were already on the verge of dying. I also have to make sure to steer clear of angels. We have a long-lasting rivalry and an angel will kill me in seconds. I closed my eyes and let my dreams take over, I saw images of New York and what tomorrow might look like.
