I had already been a few hours by the time Judas had come home. I was playing video games when the door opened and I saw Judas collapse on one of the beanbags.

"So... how did it go?" I asked, keeping my eyes on the screen.

"I did it. All 7 in one day. Kill me now," Judas said.

"Hey, congrats, that's a crazy feat," I said pausing my game and looking at him. "So are we going out or nah?" I asked.

"Yeah, just give me a few minutes to rest," Judas said getting up and making himself a cup of water.

After finishing up two more games Judas was finally ready to go.

"Let's not go too far. I'm still really tired," he said as we left.

"So just dinner and that's it, where do you want to go?" I asked him.

"I heard there's a cool superhero-themed place near here," he suggested.

"Ugh, nerd," I laughed.

We walked down the street and I decided to do some of my work considering I've missed 2 days now. I started simple, one homeless guy, then a car crash. When I got to my third I took the soul but then felt a sharp pang in my heart. Suddenly a random thought entered my head. Why am I doing this? These people are innocent, they don't deserve to die like this. Was I feeling regret? I decided to stop for today. Three was enough. After two hours we were done eating and were making our way back to the apartment. All of a sudden I felt a familiar presence.

Shit.

"Well if it isn't Lily's little lover," I heard Judas say next to me.

There was someone with her, I felt a hint of jealousy but I realized it was a guy and he looked way to gay to be straight. I saw him look at me, then at Jessie and make a confused and suspicious face. From the look we gave each other I could immediately tell who he was, his vibe and pictures I have seen of him made it obvious. It was Valentine, the angel of love. Oh, God. I could clearly tell that he knew who I was too. This won't end well at all. Pure instinct took over and I clenched my fists.

Before anything could happen, I saw Valentine smile and walk closer to us. He elbowed Jessie right before he spoke.

"J, you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend. Is this what you have been hiding from me?" He asked laughing.

"She's not-" Jessie started saying.

"We just started dating, she still hasn't called me the 'g' word yet," I said looking at her and giving her a small nod.

"Well do you guys want to hang out with us? We were just headed to a pretty popular bar," Valentine said pointing in the opposite direction me and Judas were going.

"No, Judas is tired and I'm-" I said before Judas jumped in.

"I'm feeling fine, let's go," Judas said, pushing me toward Jessie.

"Yaaasss," I heard Valentine say.

We started walking down the street, Judas and Valentine led us while Jessie and I stayed back a little.

"I'm sorry Judas forced us to join you guys," I said to her in a low whisper.

"I don't mind it," Jessie answered.

"Yeah well, you failed to mention that Valentine is your roommate," I said, raising my voice just a little.

"I didn't think it was important. We grew up together," Jessie said as if there was no threat.
