POV~Megan

My eyes flutter open, a bright light hitting my eyes. Once they adjust to the bright, white room, I glance around. Am I...in a hospital? Suddenly, last nights horrors come racing to me again.

I immediately sit up, glancing frantically around. Henry...where is he?! Did he come with me to the hospital?! I lay back down on my pillow, tears filling my eyes.

Then, someone enters the room. Without very much energy, I barely lift my head to see who it is. Familiar messy, brown hair peaks inside, and I grin.

"Hey Henry," I whisper, and he runs right to me.

He leans down and pulls me into the biggest, warmest hug anyone has ever given me. I laugh a little, squeezing him as tight as I can with the little strength I can muster. He let's out a laugh/cry into my shoulder, which makes me want to hug him tighter, but I let go because I'm so weak.

I look into his teary eyes, and smile a little.

"Thank you Henry," I whisper.

He smiles. "For what? YOU'RE the one who risked her life for me. YOU'RE the one who had to live with that freak...thank YOU, Megan."

I grin, my eyelids already getting droopy again. He leans down and kisses my forehead lightly, stroking my hair.

"Get some rest, Megalicious."

I nod warily, drifting off into sleep once again.

POV~Henry

Once Megan is fully asleep, I get up to go find a snack. It's about 8:00 in the morning, and I could NOT sleep last night, so I decide to go fine a coffee. I usually don't drink coffee, but I think I seriously need it right now. Plus I can just get a really good flavor, like caramel or something.

I head down to the cafe, asking multiple people and taking multiple elevators to get there. Once I get there, I order a caramel cappuccino and a fruit salad. I grab my stuff as soon as it's ready and head back to Megan's room.

When I pass by the waiting room, I notice my mom and dad talking to the doctor. They both look pretty stressed, so I decide this isn't the time to talk to them. I quickly jog past them, careful not to wake Megan when I enter her room.

I pull up a chair next to her bed, and grab my phone and earbuds. My parents went back home a little bit this morning, but I refused to go with them. They did bring me some stuff though, like my earbuds. I slip them in my ears and turn up the volume on my Spotify playlist. Sucker starts playing, and without thinking I get up and start dancing. It reminds me of when Megan and I danced at Subway. Hey, I think we're supposed to be working tomorrow. That doesn't matter though, because I'm pretty sure Megan and I are both going to quit after this. Plus the manager sucks. Come to think of it, I don't think I've even SEEN him since the first day.

I hope we're both quitting, that place has left us nothing but bad luck. But, I know I won't quit if Megan's not. First of all, I'm not letting her run the whole place by herself. She'd probably drive herself insane, and one person can't do all of it by herself. I don't even think two people are supposed to be running the place, let alone one.

When the song ends and moves on to a slower song, I plop myself in the chair next to Megan. I hear the door creak, and I turn around. My parents are standing in the doorway, their faces pale and tired.

"Henry, can we talk to you for a minute?" My mom says.

I nod and take my earbuds out, and they slowly pull up chairs and sit across from me.

"What's up?" I ask.

They glance at each other. I probably should know what's going on...I'm just pretty clueless.

"Darling...my sweet son..." my mom begins. "The cost of Megan's ambulance along with her staying here, it's a lot. She doesn't have insurance to cover it, either. Baby, we can't pay for her expenses."

I give her a confused look. "I...I don't understand."

My mom tears up. "We aren't going to be able to pay for her medical bills. The amount will go up the longer she stays here, so we have to take her home. We can get her medication, but my point is..." she looks to dad.

My dad takes a deep breath. "Our point is, you're going to have to sacrifice your college savings."
