Title: Trouble Is by All Time Low

"Wake the fuck up!" Tay shouts. Justin groans and turns away from Tay. "IF YOU DON'T GET UP, NO PANCAKES-"

"Pancakes?" Justin opens his eyes and grins. "I like the sound of pancakes." He sits up and tosses his blanket across the room, hitting Kellin in the face.

"Oi, fuck!" Kellin grumbles. Vic just pulls the blanket off Kellin's head and laughs.

Justin walks to the kitchen where Rian and Tay are figuring out how to make pancakes.

"I swear all I had to do was flip it," Lisa says. I roll my eyes and help mix the batter. "I have no idea what's happening," she sighs and starts the heat.

"I can't believe all of you are idiots." I shake my head and pour a little bit of the batter out. It flattens into a pancake shape.

"I got the blueberries!" Rian says and pulls out a bowl of blueberries. "What the fuck-?"

I flip a pancake and Lisa just gasps in shock. "How do you know how to do this?"

"I have common sense," I smile and plate the pancake.

"Alex, what happened with Jack?" Rian asks once Tay leaves. We stop since his house is across the street.

"Nothing. He was probably just drunk or something," I mumble.

"I know that's not true," Rian says. "But I won't push it. I also have to be somewhere. I'll see you on Monday." With that, he turns and rushes across the street. He quickly gets into his house.

I let out a sigh and turn. I'm in front of Jack's house.

His parents aren't home, and my mom is working today.

I press my lips together and walk up to his door. I ring the doorbell before I can stop myself. I wait for about five seconds before backing away, ready to leave.

That's when the door swings open. "Alex."

I stop and look at him. "Would you believe me if I said I'm at the wrong house?"

"No," he says softly. He leans against the doorframe. "Are you okay? Last night's call was... Confusing. I thought something might be wrong, so I went to your place. No one showed up, so I looked for any lights, so I assume you were at a friend's place."

I nod. "The call was a dare."

"Thought so." He lets out a sigh. "Do you want to come in, or...?"

"Is that weird?"

He smiles slightly and shakes his head. He moves and opens the door wider for me to walk in. His house still looks the same- I didn't expect much change, but still.

"Come on," he says, closing and locking the front door. He leads me up to his room- which still looks exactly the same.

"You didn't change a thing," I comment, looking around. He moves over and slowly takes my bag off me, setting it by the door.

I walk over to his drawer, where a picture frame stands. The picture is the two of us. The night we went to the state fair together. This was taken after he won a stuffed lion and gave it to me.

"That night was one that I think about a lot," he says and sits on his bed. "I remember how you gripped my hand while we were riding one of the rollercoasters."

I let out a soft laugh. "I'll tell you the truth, I said I wasn't scared... But I kind of was."

He gasps dramatically. "Really? I had no idea."
