(Timeskip: One year later)

"Merry Christmas!" Lisa shouts. Everyone clinks their glasses together. Tay and Jenna kiss. Jack pulls me close and pecks my lips. 

Zack wraps his arm around Lisa as we move away from the tree. "COOKIES," Awsten shouts and throws a sugar cookie at Patty. 

Patty is a new kid, a year younger than us. Awsten met him outside a soccer game and they immediately hit it off.

"Alright, we've waited this long. How about we unwrap some gifts?" I speak up. Everyone cheers and rushes back to the tree. Jack sits down next to me and I lean against him. Kellin hands Justin a gift. People pass around gifts until everyone has one.

Last year, we decided to do a secret Santa. Last year didn't go very well because people accidentally told each other who they got. And by people, I mean Awsten.

Justin tears open the gift and gasps. Everyone leans in and see what's inside. He holds up a Nirvana CD. "Yo, I've been looking for this. Uh... Vic?" Vic shakes his head. "Jenna?" Jenna nods awkwardly leans over to hug him. 

Jenna opens her and smiles. "Someone got me fuzzy socks," she says, grinning. She gasps. "With butterflies on them." She looks around. "Aws?"

Awsten grins and stands up to hug her. "I thought the butterflies were cute," he says. "And... Ya know... Fuzzy stuff rocks."

"Ironic," Kellin laughs.

Awsten sits back down and opens the bag. He shrieks and stands up. "OKAY WHOEVER THE FUCK-"

Patty leans over and smiles. "Aws, stand down."

Awsten sits back down. "I LOVE YOU," he shouts and pulls out a white sweater. "Whoever did this. I love you." He looks around. "Lisa?" 

Lisa grins and hugs him. "Love you too, ya little jellybean." She sits back down and opens her box. "Aw, this is so cute," she pulls out a pair of earrings. It looks like a little golden heart. "Thanks Ri."

He gives her a look. "How the fuck-"

She shrugs and hugs him. 

"Alrighty then," he opens the bag and laughs. "Y'all are amazing," he says and pulls out drumsticks with his initials engraved into them. "Uhh... Patty?" Patty shakes his head. "Jack?" Jack also shakes his head. "Uhhh Tay?"

Tay nods and hugs him. "Took you long enough, huh?" She opens her gift and laughs. "Oh god, I love this," she holds up a beanie with a kitten face sewn onto it. "Uhh... Justin?" He shakes his head. "Kellin?"

Kellin grins and hugs her. "Alright," he sighs and picks up his gift. He opens it and smiles. "Aww," he says. He holds up a picture frame with a picture of the whole group at the game a few months ago, right after Patty joined the group. We all went for ice cream. "Uhh... Patty?"

Patty grins and hugs him. "I hope you like it," he says. He opens his gift. "Aw thank you!" He says and holds up a fancy notebook with his name on it in gold. "Vic?"

Vic nods and hugs him. He opens his gift. "This is so sweet," he says and holds up a collection of bracelets. He mentioned he liked them once. These are a mix of white and black ones, some with silver or gold beads, others are braided. "Zack?"

Zack nods and gives Vic a quick hugs before opening his gift. "Woah," he says and holds up a tee-shirt with wave designs. "Justin?"

Justin smiles and hugs him. "I saw it in your notebook and thought it was really cool."
