Rogan's POV

It was beautiful outside. Fresh and sunny weather with my glowing wi.. girl.

Wife? I would love to call her that. Maybe one day.

It was one of those days when you wake up and feel that everything is just perfect even though there are tons of issues to solve, eventually it will fall into place.

I guess waking up to her beautiful face made me so happy. I can do that for eternity.

I prepared breakfast, pancakes and bacons with some lichee juice which is her favorite. I know I'm being like a teenager but I can't help it. She makes me feel like this.

I set the table as Melissa came down in a pretty white dress with slippers on. Her wet hair from the shower dangling behind. She looked breathtaking, so natural without any makeup to cover up those tiny blemishes. I couldn't take my eyes off her.

"Hey, good morning!" Her chirpy voice and glowing face brought a grin to my face. Rarely ever, Melissa seems so happy. "Is that lichee?" She grabbed a glass of juice from the table and sipped on it.

"Looks good in here." She eyed the food and looked up at me.

"What you waiting for? Dig in." I sat down opposite of her for breakfast.

"Gladly."

She forked her pancakes and I started with the bacons. They tasted fine. She added a bit too much of maple syrup to her pancakes which dripped down her lips as she took a bite.

Being a normal man, I stared in awe. Wish I could lick it up, it would definitely taste sweeter.

"Stop staring." She said with her mouth full.

I placed my food on the plate and put my hands on my cheeks, and continued to stare at her, only with a big smile on my cheeks. She looked at me and laughed out loud, and that's my favorite sound on Earth.

"You didn't tell me about my mother's visit to your office yesterday?" She suddenly asked, all fun drained off my face at once.

"How did you know?"

"Pete called." That idiot, I'm definitely firing him.

"Yeah. She dropped by." I said casually. It's best not to make a scene out of it, we already have a lot on our plates.

"Oh, Evangeline Black doesn't just drop by. Tell me what she had to say?"

"It's nothing really. She just wanted me to stay away from her beautiful daughter but every one knows I cannot do that." I smirked, trying to lighten the mood.

She just rolled her eyes and finished her food. She stood up and collected our plates.

"Did she threaten you or something?" She asked without meeting my eyes and keeping the plates on the sink.

"She said something about spreading about rumors.." I shrugged, and walked towards her, "...she will do nothing, don't worry. At least, it's not like I cannot handle her." I put my arm around her shoulder in comfort.

She exhaled. "Remember when you and Blake had a fight at school? They took you away..."

"Yeah. He was bullying you. I remember."

"Well, it was my mother who called the cops on you. Mr Evans, Blake's dad wanted to charge you for attempted murder. My mother had a video of the incident, some things were fabricated too."  She spoke silently looking through my eyes.

"But that never happened." I recalled.

A lot happened that night.

"Well, I agreed to get married to Blake that night."
