Chapter 4 ~ The first step

Y/N's POV

I was having a nice dream, when I got awakened by the knocking at my door. I groan and sit up. "Who is it?" I ask as I'm stretching. "Yuri Alpha, Ms. Blanks." "Come in." She opens the door and immediately looks down and goes on one knee "S-Sorry Ms. Blanks, would you like to put on a shirt first?" I look down and realize I was wearing a tank top and shorts, hmmm I guess since it is older times that showing skin isn't that common yet. I immediately grab some clothes from my inventory and put it on, "I apologize for that, anyways what are you here for?" 

"Lord Momonga has requested your presence in his office and sent me to come get you as you were not answering his telepathic calls." replies Yuri Alpha. "Ah I see, will you walk with me there?" I ask. "If that is your command."

We walk towards Momonga's office when she asks me "Ms. Blanks are you feeling better? If not, I would like to advise you to tell Lord Momonga." I smile and pat her head "Thanks for the concern, but I feel much better compared to last night." She nods and takes her leave as soon as we arrive. I knock on the door and enter. "Hey, feeling better?" asks Momonga. I nod and grab a seat beside him. 

Y/N: So what's going on?

Momonga: I've been trying to figure out how to use the Mirror of Remote Viewing but I've got it

Y/N: Oh cool, is there a festival going on or something?

Sebas: No, that is not.

Momonga zooms and starts panning to different angles of the invasion that was happening to the village. 'I can't believe that we're watching this so calmly, there's literally people getting murdered and there is blood everywhere.' says Momonga. 'Right? It's only been a short while since we've been here too'

"Then what shall we do?" asks Sebas. "Leave them, saving them gives no benefit to us," replies Momonga. I look up at Sebas and then look back at Momonga knowing we both just had the same thought. It was times like these where I could really tell who designed who. Just looking at Sebas brings back memories of Touch Me-san and how he saved Momonga and I's lives when we first started. I really miss him, although I can't say I miss the stupid quotes he would say. Momon pans the screen one more time when we see 2 young females running away from knights and that was all I needed to be convinced that we had to take action. 'Let's go save the village, plus we can test our power too then' I tell Momonga. He looks over at me and nods. "Sebas, Blanks and I are going to this village. Raise the security level of Nazarick to maximum and tell Albedo to join me, fully armed." Sebas nods and Mo instantly summons a gate and we both walk through it. 

We get there and just as the knight was about to deal the finishing blow, he notices our portal and instantly backs up. I typically hated entrances like this because of the attention but I had to admit that it looked hella badass. Momonga then casts Grasp Heart causing the soldier in front of us to die immediately. "I was thinking of running away if my favourite undead skill, a 9th tier spell, didn't work on the humans in this world" says Momonga. "That's fair, I must say that I was thinking the same thing." I reply. "Monsters?!" says the other soldier terrified. 

'I don't feel anything, even when I kill people. I guess both physically and mentally, I've stopped being human.' says Momonga. 'Perhaps this game is changing our mindset' I reply.
