I currently can't pull up the usernames, but the two of y'all (you know who you are) who consistently vote and comment? I love you 🖤 🥺 and thank you for supporting every chapter I've put out. I hope you will continue to enjoy this book 🙇‍♀️ :) Also if any of y'all are willing to PM me please do 😭 I can't text often cause of personal stuff but I want some friends that are into overlord.

So in this chapter, the reader will be wearing a helmet/mask of your choice. Also the names of them might be a little different to what you're used to as I'm using the ones in the manga instead of the anime and light novel. Actually to be more accurate it's a mix of both. But today I am in a crunch for time so I can't really fact check through all three like I typically do. Just cause I said the reader is a rogue, does not mean that they are human.

P.S Another HEAVY dialogue chappie, sorry :(

Y/N's POV

"Excuse me, I am looking for a job" asks Ainz immediately going up to the secretary. "In that case, just look at the parchments over there and bring back the one you're interested in." she replies. We walk over to the part and Ainz says 'Yeah, I can't read any of this, you?' 'Not a clue, this looks like enchantment table to me to be honest' I reply. He randomly grabs one and brings it to the secretary. "Sorry, but this request is only available to mithril rank adventurers" replies the woman after reading the post. "My escort here can use rank 3 magic, and my swordsmanship is at a comparable level." says Ainz. "And what about the other lady by you?" asks the woman after Ainz completely forgets me. "I'm an equal leveled rogue" I reply sending a quick glare towards Ainz as he sweatdrops. "Can we do it now?" asks Ainz. "I apologize but there are rules that must be followed. If you fail the request, there is a chance a lot of people will lose their lives."

Tch, she's also so loud to the point that everybody that was in the room was looking in our direction. Ainz is about to protest but I step in front of him. "If that's the case, then we apologize for being unreasonable," I say as I ram my elbow into his gut, "can you find us the hardest job available to copper rank that isn't on the board?" "Ah, of course!" she replies.

"In that case, would you three like to help us with our job?" says a voice behind us, revealing a group of 4 young adventurers. Ainz agrees to hear them out as we walk upstairs into one of the planning/meeting room and grab a seat around the table. "Let me introduce myself, I am Momon, a swordsman." "I'm Y/N, I'm a rogue specialist, and she's Nabe, a third-tier magic caster"

"Then allow me to introduce us," says the guy who appeared to be the leader as he continues "I'm the leader of 'the sword of darkness,' Peter Mauk." He then points to a messy haired guy and an older gentleman and says "The younger one is our ranger, Lukrut Volve, he is our team's eyes and ears. And the other deals with healing magic and the manipulation of nature, the druid Dine Woodwonder." He lastly points to the last guy who gives off the vibe of a prepubescent teen and introduces him, "Our magic caster and the brains of the group, Ninya the spellcaster." "Peter, will you stop attaching that title to my name" replies Ninya.

(A/N: Did y'all know that Ninya is a girl? :0 I didn't even know until I was researching the wiki for this chapter)

This clearly caught Ainz's ear (?) as he immediately asks "you have a title?" "Yep, she's known as a genius master caster. She was born with a skill called Magic Affinity." replies Peter. I look over at Ainz and Nabe to see what they're thinking, only to mind-read that Nabe thinks that Ninya is a low-level twerp. "Well, there's someone with a greater talent than mine in this town: Bareal!" says Ninya trying to get the attention of herself. "Bareal?" asks Ainz. "Enfrea Bareal, he's the grandson of a famous pharmacist, his talent allows him to use any magic item even the ones that can't be used by humans." replies Peter. 'Hmmm, he sounds dangerous but really cool' I telepathically tell Ainz. 'Right? We should try to dig for more information as we go along' he replies as I nod.
