Chapter 6
I woke up to my covers being violently ripped off of me. I opened one eye, rolling my eyes and pulling my pillow over my head after seeing the man who woke me up with the guys from the house standing around him, watching me.
"Get up, Boat," the man yelled, ripping the pillow off my head, my only response was flipping him off as I grabbed for another pillow, the man grabbing it and throwing it across the room before grabbing my arms, forcing me to sit up. I stared at him, my eyes barely open. I looked over at Josh who seemed concerned.
"Why did you let him in here?" I mumbled, looking back at the brown-eyed, blonde hair man in front of me.
"He forced himself into the house asking for you. Who is he, Beau?" Josh gulped the man staring at me with narrow eyes.
"Are you still drunk?" He growled, pulling my eyelids open. I ripped my hands away from him, swatting his hands away from my face.
"No," I laughed, the man looking at the empty Tito's bottle on the nightstand before glaring back at me. "Yes," I mumbled as he nodded, picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. "Billy, where are you taking me. You're making me nauseous. I should not be upside down right now," I sighed as Billy threw me into the shower in my clothes, turning the shower on and turning the water to ice cold making me jump, gasping loudly.
"STAY!" He yelled just pushing me back down. I sat in the tub, Billy spraying me with cold water as the guys all ran in.
"Beau, who is he?" Josh yelled as I spit a bunch of water out, Billy finally turning the water off. I gasped, pushing my -now wet- hair out of my face, looking up at Billy as he glared down at me.
"This is Billy Clark, my coach," I mumbled, looking at Josh who just looked at me strangely.
"You have a press conference. I texted you a hundred times about it-"
"I threw my phone into the ocean," I huffed, standing up, taking my sweatshirt and sweatpants off, stepping out of the tub in nothing but a sports bra and some underwear, all of the guys becoming awkward.
"So you didn't know you made the cut?" Billy said softly as I stopped. I turned around slowly, looking at Billy with a confused look.
"I haven't surfed since September. I haven't even been in a pool! I can't even get enough courage to get in a full bathtub! How did I qualify?!" I yelled, crossing my arms as Billy, just looked at me.
"I don't know. Greg called me about it last week. He said that even without surfing the last competitions you were still ranked 2nd, beating out every other US woman," Billy looked at me as I laughed softly, shaking my head
"What did you do?" Josh gulped as I shook my head.
"Nothing," I mumbled, glancing down at my feet before looking back up at Billy. "What do I say at this press conference? Sorry, 2020 isn't my year but I'll see you all in 2024?" I sighed as Billy shrugged.
"I know you, Boat. If you wanted to, you could compete this summer," Billy smirked as I just looked down at my feet.
"Let me get changed and I'll meet you upstairs," I mumbled as he nodded, patting my shoulder before heading out, all of the guys following him.
