Class was a disaster. Just as it had been the first time around, I had to barter two milky ways my past self had been saving for a special occasion. Just to get Pidge to tell me the date, the little shit. I could have asked Hunk, but I missed Pidge's scheming. Today's was the day we saved Shiro.
"Dude, what's with the huge bag? You know Pidge will kill you if he knows found out you went through his stuff, Right?" Hunk and I were walking to the roof to meet Pidge. Currently, male, Pidge's biological reveal will happen later.
"I smell adventure!" I cry dramatically, surprised by how easily I slipped back into my lover boy persona, after centries of laying off it.
"And Pidge will never know if nobody," I give Hunk a significant look. "tells him."
"You know I hate secrets." Hunk was desperate.
"Pidge will thank me later." Is all I give him before the elevator opens and we find Pidge fiddling with his tech on the roof, looking around at the sound of us approaching.
I drift off into memory as Pidge explains the signals that he's been receiving.

Pidge taps on the keys hacking into the Galra mainframe, it was only me and Pidge left, in Voltron. Allura's death had torn Pidge apart, but also made her more determined to destroy the empire. I was on lookout duty. Sniping range, for any that dare approach the last of my family.
Neither of us could have suspected that the computer was rigged. As soon as Pidge pulled out the hard drive the computer exploded, impaling Pidge right through the stomach. Through the comm, she whispered her last words, "Take the file, destroy Zarko..."
Her body went limp. Pidge died fighting, so would I.

We were finally standing on the ledge that destiny started. I had almost forgotten a very important detail about this moment when Pidge pointed out a motorcycle coming up on the scene.
I snatched the binoculars from him and stared there he was, even more, beautiful than I remembered him.
"Keith, Keith Kogane"
"The guy who got kicked out of the Garrison?"
"How can you tell?"
"I'd recognize that mullet anywhere."
And this time. I wouldn't lose it.
