Six (lion) months have past since Kion saved the Tree of Life and became king. Everyone and everything is now safe and resolved. But just when they started to relax, they didn't realize danger was just around the corner. A mysterious someone attacks...
Kion wakes up staring at the ceiling inside the Tree of Life. He stood up feeling that his mouth was a little dry and decided to take a drink at the lake, and afterwards go hunting at the edge of the kingdom where the hunting grounds were.
When he got to the lake, he yawned and stretched before taking a sip of the water. It was a little early before sunrise when Kion went to get some food for himself. At the edge of the kingdom, he spotted a gazelle wandering around on the hunting grounds. He got down low onto the grass waiting for the right moment to pounce. When that time was now, he leaped up into the air ready to bite into his meal. But suddenly a crack sound was made which shocked the gazelle. The gazelle ran off before Kion could get advantage of it.
Kion flopped onto the ground and immediately got up curiously wondering what created the crack sound. He was in a fighting stance ready to defend himself. "Who is there?" he yelled.
"Who is there?" says a voice.
Kion heard the voice and could tell it was nearby. He couldn't tell if it was mocking him or just copying him. The voice sounded like a male creature. Kion repeated, "I said, who is there?"
"I said, who is there?"
Kion was starting to get a little annoyed at this point. Suddenly, he heard the same crack sound from earlier. This time he heard it from right next to him. He looked over and saw a creature copying the same stance Kion was in. It had a greenish-grayish look, blackish hair, white eyes, and had the height of a teenage honey badger.
Kion was shocked by what he saw and backed up a little. The creature did the same and accidentally stepped on a twig which created a familiar crack sound.
"Wait, Bunga?" Kion asked.
"Wait, Bunga?"

Kion knew what he needed to do. "Okay, you don't need to copy me just follow what I'm saying." Kion thinks for a moment. "Do you remember this place? The Tree of Life?"
"The Tree of Life?"
"Hmm, oh! Do you remember playing baobab ball when we were younger?"
"When we were younger?"
"How about that song you sang? Zuka Zama?"
"Z-Zuka Zama?"
"Yes! Do you remember Timon and Pumbaa? Or my dad?"
Bunga had a confused look on his face.
"Come on, you've got to remember one of those things!"
Kion is starting to believe that making them remember who they are isn't the right solution.
"Do you remember me? I'm Kion."
"I'm Kion."
Kion saw that Bunga looked like he was actually thinking for once. "I think he's remembering." Kion thought to himself.
