When I woke up the next morning, I got out of bed and looked over to the right side of it, only to see that Kira wasn't in her side of the bed.

I got dressed and finally realized that she was watching TV in the next room, so after I was dressed, I went to see what she was watching.

It was an old black and white movie. It looked so familiar, but I couldn't recall the title.

And for a black and white movie, it had pretty good quality, too.

"Nice to see you up." Kira said as she turned her head around to me, and then back to the movie.

Then I finally recognized the movie she was watching. It looked like she had just popped it in, too, so I guess she didn't get up that long ago.

But you never know.

"The Wolfman?" I asked.

"Yeah, 1941."

"Why are you watching it?"

"I just wanted to. I can't watch black n' white movies now?" Kira asked.

I sat down next to her.

"No, it's just I expected you'd watch this during October." I said.

"I would, but sometimes when you wanna watch a movie, you wanna watch a movie."

"Can't argue with that."

After the movie finished, Kira took it out of the VCR and put it back in its case.

"I had a dream that I killed someone last night." Kira said.

I gave her an alarmed look.

"Why the heck would you dream about that?!"

Kira held her hands up as if surrendering.

"How should I know?! It's a dream, and dreams are weird!" Kira said.

I sighed.

"Yeah, you're right about that..." I said.

"So do you remember what happened?" I asked.

"I don't know. I guess I got angry and then BOOM! He's dead!" Kira said.

"I see....that's a pretty weird dream to have."

"Yeah, well, like I already said, dreams are weird and we can't control 'em. I guess I watched a movie a while back that made me dream about that or something." Kira said.

"I guess you're right."

So later that day, Kira took a nap.

Now I know you might be thinking or saying "So what? People take naps. It's not unusual."

And while I agree with you, I noticed that Kira seemed very fidgety earlier. Like she was nervous about something.

She probably didn't notice it, but she just seemed to walk quicker than usual. I guess like she couldn't sit still, if I had to describe it.

Which wasn't really like her.

I mean, maybe she couldn't sit still when she as really little, but I don't know. I met Kira in high school, and from what I remember she wasn't really fidgety like she was today.

When she was asleep, I decided to just let her sleep. As for me, I went outside and started walking on the beach.

While walking on the beach, I noticed the wolf foot prints from last night were still in the sand. Having nothing better to do, I followed them.

After about ten minutes, I noticed I was still following the wolf prints, but instead, once I had gotten to the edge of the beach where parking lots were, the wolf prints stopped.

That was strange. What's even stranger is that there was a small staircase at the edge of the beach which people can walk down in order to get to the beach, but they can easily jump onto the beach and not get hurt.

There's a few staircases around this beach, actually.

But the staircases weren't the strange part.

The strange part was that I noticed that the wolf prints had turned towards the staircase.

What I thought was strange is that this wolf went up the staircase. Wouldn't the wolf-or any wolf, perhaps-just jump over the edge and not go up a staircase?

So this led to me walking up the staircase, trying to see if the wolf had left any sand behind.

But as soon as I had walked up the stairs, I noticed that no sand was left behind. I made my way back down the small staircase.

"That's strange. Wouldn't the wolf have any sand on its paws that was left behind on the pavement, or is it possible that it licked its paws clean of the sand or shook the sand off its paws somehow? This wolf must've known what it was doing or was really smart." I thought as I made my way down the beach.

I eventually found myself back at the RV and walked inside. Once again I heard the TV on. I walked in the room that Kira had watched TV in earlier, which was connected to the bedroom.

I recognized this one right off the bat; An American Werewolf in London.

I put a hand on her shoulder. Kira flinched, but once she turned around and saw that it was me, she turned back to her movie.

"...Are you okay, Kira?" I asked as I sat down next to her.

"Yeah, why?" Kira asked, keeping her eyes glued to the screen.

"You've been watching these werewolf movies a lot today."

"So?" Kira asked, still not looking at me.

"Is there a reason for it?" I asked.

Kira rolled her eyes and looked at me.

"Yeah. How about I just felt like it?" She said as she turned back to the TV.

"Kira, I mean it." I said in a serious tone.

"I seriously just wanted to, Yuki. That's all. Haven't you ever had a moment where you really wanted to watch a movie and just had to watch it?"

"Yeah, but-"

"Yeah, exactly. That's me right now. There's yer answer." She said.

Looks like Kira didn't wanna talk anymore. I decided to leave it alone. I guess she was right.

She's pretty temperamental in case if you didn't know, but now she's not as bad as she once was.
*****************
It was nightfall. The moon was out, but it was a half moon.

"There's supposed to be a full moon tomorrow." I said as I looked out the window.

"It's not like we're gonna act any different." Kira said.

I took my eyes off from the moon, pulled the curtain over the small window, and looked back at Kira. I grinned.

"Beware the werewolves!" I said as I pretended to roar and held my hands out to Kira, pretending as if I was gonna attack her or something close to that.

Kira was unamused.

"Werewolves don't exist, Yuki. Only God." She said.

In case if you couldn't already tell, Kira believes in God, but she doesn't talk about her beliefs often.

"Fair enough." I said as I put my hands down.

Kira sat down and started getting ready for bed. When she took her pants off, I saw that she still had those bandages wrapped around her leg.

"Oh, that reminds me! Let's take a look at that leg." I said, and Kira only nodded. I knelt down and began unwrapping the bandages from the leg.

When I took the bandages off, I got back up, walked towards the trash can, and threw them in. I walked back over to Kira again and knelt down, trying to find the bite mark, inspecting the leg for it.

But what I saw puzzled me.

Wasn't there a bite mark on her leg?
