Chapter 11: Calm Down

Kira's POV
I was hoping I'd wake up near the RV on the beach, but no.

Not at all.

Instead, I woke up in a pen with wolves in it.

One of them sniffed me. I got up and brushed myself off.

"Nice doggy! But if you come at me, I'll burn ya. Literally." I said as I carefully avoided the wolves.

"Now how do I get out? I could burn the bars, but then it'd be obvious that someone was here. Not only that, but the wolves could also escape, and I don't want that. So-OH! Maybe that would do?" I thought as I noticed a slightly crooked square near the top of the pen. 

"That must be how the wolves get fed." I thought as I gripped the bars.

I started climbing up the bars, lifted myself up to the top, and pushed the squared bars back. I put them back in place and made them as even as I could.

I climbed down from outside the pen and walked out of my location.

A zoo....just great.

I don't even remember how I got there.

I made my way into town. It was beginning to get lighter outside, around eight. At this point, all I wanted to do was just find my sister and stay with her for a little bit.

As I walked around town, I noticed people were staring at me, but luckily it was very few people.

"Where's his pants?" A man asked.

"Maybe he's just wearing shorts underneath that shirt." A woman said.

"Yeah, maybe."

In case if you can't already tell, I look like a boy.

Getting slightly uncomfortable, I made my way into the nearest clothing shop. Being so early in the morning, there was only one other person in there besides the cashier, so luckily I wouldn't be too outta place.

I was gonna buy some pants, but I couldn't.

I just remembered I didn't have any money on me.

As I was about to walk out of the store, the cashier walked out from behind his desk and walked over to me.

"Uh....can I help you, sir?" He asked.

"Nope!" I said as I immediately became flustered and walked out of the store.

That's it. I'm walking over to Neon's house pantsless.

But at least I had underwear on.

As I made my way out of town, I finally noticed what sounded like a car behind me, so I stopped and walked to the side to let them pass.

This road is kinda small, so if you're walking, you'll either have to walk on the road or on the side of it to let the other person pass, but luckily this is fixed by the next town since it has a sidewalk.

But the car-actually cars since it was two-didn't stop.

I got suspicious, but as soon as I did, the cars drove away.

I scratched my head in confusion as they drove off, but I continued on my way to Neon's house.

After a while, I finally reached the intersected road. On the left side you're led to restaurants and stores, and the right side is a forest that barely anyone goes into. It's said that there's some secret base in there, but the only problem is that people don't even go there.

So it's most likely completely abandoned, or at least it should be.

But the neighborhood I was going to was straight ahead of me, so yes, I just continued walking.
