Kylo

There was little to no amount of light in the room. And if anyone else were to enter, they would have shivered after spending only minutes inside. A lone table sat in the middle of the floor and on it was perched her lightsaber, a few feet in front of the table stood Kylo Ren. His face stung as he remembered the pain the scar on his face used to give him before it had healed, his helmet lay abandoned on the floor, slowly, he raised his arm as if he was reaching for the table, and he opened up his hand. He took a sharp inhale as he used the Force to summon Paige's memories from the lightsaber. He had mastered the trick with physical objects, now this was to make sure he could fully remove something more, even something as abstract as a memory.

He took in another deep breath as he lifted the lock off the saber and started to see the memories materializing into shining specs in front of him, now floating from the lightsaber and connecting with each other to form long glowing lines. His breathing hitched as later on, the lines wound around themselves, forming a polygonal shaped screen, and showed him Paige's memories. He had succeeded.

Kylo couldn't stop the smile from reaching his lips. He finally did it. He had mastered the technique. He could remove the crystal from Paige.

He let go of a breath in relief as he stared at the screen that projected Paige's view of him when they were on that planet. He cringed as he saw himself laughing, so that's what he looked like when he did. He remembered when he'd tricked her into thinking they were supposed to get married there. Kylo chuckled to himself and shook his head, feeling nostalgic. His hand lowered, and the memories drew back, as if sucked in by the lightsaber. He heaved a long sigh and sat on the floor, his legs outstretched forming a V infront if him.

All he needed to do now was find Paige. Wherever the Resistance took her. He ran a hand through his hair, he had heard of the stupid bounty hunt for Paige. Personally, he thought it was a bad idea. The galaxy was full of morons who wouldn't respect even the most important detail, in this case, it was keeping her alive. He scoffed and remembered, that since it's the First Order that issued the announcement, of course they would honor every detail. But, what that oaf Hux had forgotten to entail was that absolutely no harm was to be put through the girl. They could bring her alive, sure, but they could do that and bring only half her body back. Heck, they could even bring her in a state where she'd be barely breathing. His hand clenched into a fist and he slammed it into the cold steel floor.

The helmet on the floor produced a hard screech as he grabbed on it with his hand and dragged it across the floor and towards his lap. He held the thing in his hands and stared at it. Its dark lens reflected his eyes. He wished it was Paige's eyes looking back at him, his Paige, the one that knew him. He would bring back her memories soon, and more importantly he'd extract the bloody crystal from her heart. But, Snoke needed to be out of the picture for that, and that part was going to be tricky.

A deafening, piercing sound filled his ears and he ducked his head to cover his ears with his hands, dropping the helmet in the process. Whatever it was, it stopped as soon as it came, and he shook it off. And then, he heard Snoke speak in his mind.

"Kylo Ren."

"Yes, supreme leader."

He stood up, carrying his helmet in his hand.

"Has the project been retrieved yet?"

He realized Snoke was talking about Paige.

"No, sir."

"I want that girl back in our Order."

"Supreme leader, if I may suggest, I would offer myself and go out to find her alone."
