The waves crashed loudly on the beach outside. Purple and orange colours painted the sky as the sun began to set, the seagulls were flying overhead. Not far from the beach stood a modest house, the front door was open. The wind billowed into it from the doorway and through the large windows.

When they had this place built, him was skeptical at his wife's choice of architecture, but was in awe as the place was put together. To which the wife gave a smug smirk as she watched him smile in satisfaction when it was finished and he shyly apologized for ever doubting her choices, because, let's face it, she did choose him.

She was seated at the table, her right hand's fingers drumming on the smooth surface of the mahogany table. Her other hand was up against her chin, her head leaning on it. She sighed contentedly as she felt her husband's arms on her shoulders, wrapping her in an embrace. He rested his chin on her head, giving it a quick kiss.

"You've been awfully quiet." He said.

She moved away from him and turned to look up at his face.

"Just thinking." She smiled at him.

"About what?"

He moved to sit across from her, he leaned over forward to hold her hands on the table in front of them.

"Nothing" She chuckled.

He furrowed his eyebrows and looked at her with concern flooding his features.

"Paige"

"I just zoned out" She said, lifting a hand to wave it off.

He chuckled and shook his head. Paige stood from where she was sitting and walked towards the window, the curtains billowing in the wind. She leaned on the side of the window, gazing at the group of sparring kids outside not far from the shore.

"They're growing in number."

He said, walking towards her and standing on the other side of the window, beside her. He leaned his elbow against the window and stared outside.

"Yes, they are." She replied. "I imagine our resident Jedi, Rey, has attained more pupils as well."

"I don't understand why you don't build an army though." He said, his eyes landing on her face. "They're loyal to you."

Paige chuckled and reached up to ruffle his hair. It was beginning to become a habit of hers now.

"And use them to what? Rule the galaxy?"

Her husband chuckled and shook his head.

"It amazes me how you and Rey managed to obtain peace between two opposite sides." He said.

"We agreed to establish a balance in the Force. We both understand, in the light, it will cast a shadow of darkness. And in the darkness..."

"There will be a spark of light." He finished, and she smiled at him in response.

"I teach because I know some kids out there can't control their anger, and I want to help. I can show them they can harness the dark side of the Force without using it for evil. I like to think of it as sort of a modified way of the Sith."

He stared in awe at her, smiling at her words. She became very wise through all the pain and hardships she had been through. Having been one of the causes of her pain, he would forever regret what he did had done to her in the past. Despite everything, she had forgiven him. She loves him for crying out loud. Paige leaned in slowly, wiggling her finger at him like a signal to come closer. As he did, she whispered.

"Also it helps to keep tabs on them, so no one gets the idea of ruling the galaxy for themselves."

She laughed at his reaction, then leaned back against the window's side. Her hand absentmindedly rested on her stomach. The corners of his lips quirked upwards at this.
