A Second Novel to 'At My Best'
It's 6 in the morning when I woke up. It's still early. Lisa is still sleeping soundly beside me. I looked at her and admired how angelic she looks like. I leaned down to kiss her lips gently so that I won't wake her up.
"I love you" I whispered before I get up and go downstairs to prepare breakfast. I saw Jisoo sitting in the bar stool of my kitchen counter. She's playing with her nintendo switch.
"Chu, you're up early" I said. She looked at me and returned her gaze to her console.

"Yes, I'm playing" she said nonchalantly.
"Why here? You don't like to play in your room?" I asked while I put my apron on. She stopped and paused her game and even turned it off. "I like to play there but Chipmunk kicked me out" she pouted which made me chuckle.
"Why?" I asked while supressing my laugher.
"Because she said I'm noisy. My game is noisy" she pouted again. I suddenly remembered when I also kicked out Lisa from our room one night. I got annoyed by her. She asked why I'm kicking her out and I just said "because you're breathing". I internally laughed. She really slept in the guest room that night.
"Why are you girls like that?" She pouted again which made me laugh louder.
"Why do you ask? You're a girl too" I said. She stopped and just looked at me blankly. Later on, she blinked her eyes. What's with this reaction?
Oh, shit!
"Yaaa! Don't tell me---"
And I wasn't able to finish it whe she nodded. Oh my gosh, my Rosie Posie.
"Really? Lisa knows?" I asked her with my eyes wide open. "You think we will be bestfriends without her knowing about it? And I know about hers too. It's basically the reason why we're bestfriends" she chuckled and I nodded in understanding.
I started preparing breakfast by taking out the ingredients from the fridge. Jisoo just watched me. She's like Lisa who loves watching me while I'm cooking.
"I feel like I don't wanna play anymore. Would you mind if I help you out?" She asked. I was really surprised with it. Normally, Lisa and Jisoo just play around whenever Chaeng and I are cooking something.
"For a change, huh?" I teased and handed her an apron.
"You know, my chipmunk is a foodie and she always tell me that she loves your cooking so I thought of learning it from you so that one day I can cook for her too" she sincerely said. "That's so sweet of you" I told her.
"Did Lisa ever tried helping you out in kitchen duties?" She asked me. "Hmmmm... sometimes?" My response sounded more like a question that an actual statement. We both laughed at it.
"Sometimes she helps me out but ends up playing in the kitchen" I added. Jisoo laughed. "I know that. Lisa is so playful. I remember when we where in high school, our friends and I always love to go to our house. Ususally, my parents aren't at home so we always ask the maids to go out and shop for groceries then we try experimenting in the kitchen" she laughed louder.
