Chapter 4: Meeting

"YOU WHAT?!" "SERIOUSLY?!" "FOR REAL!?" Mighty's friends yelled in his face during their cafeteria talk. The armadillo flinched from their shouts and noticed others were now staring at them, but they soon turned their attention back to what they were doing.

Mighty sighed and shook his head. "Yes, guys... I really did catch the thief yesterday." he told them. "Why didn't you tell us earlier?!" Sonic asked. "Because I knew you would freak out like this in the middle of the hall!" Mighty said. "So who are they? Come on, we need details!" Silver demanded.

"He's a pinkish-purple chameleon-" "It's a he?!" the white hedgehog interrupted. Mighty frowned at him annoyed. "Yes, it is a he." he said with a roll of his eyes. "Now, he's 15 and doesn't have any parents. He also doesn't know much about language, so he doesn't know a lot of words and he's not very good at putting sentences together."

"He has one yellow horn between his yellow eyes and has a coiled tail." "That explains why Ray thought he was a triceratops." Knuckles said. "He's also quite nice and kinda shy. And his name is Espio." Mighty continued. "Sounds like a good catch." Silver said with a sly smirk.

"What do you mean?" Mighty asked. "Don't you see? He sounds like the perfect guy for you, Mighty!" amber eye told him. "You're being way too hasty, Silver. I barely know him, and I don't think he's into guys." "Yeah, you're right... but I still wanna meet him at least."

"Yeah, we'll walk home with you." Knuckles said. "Don't you guys think it's a little too soon?" Mighty asked. "Don't worry. We've got manners." Silver tried to assure. "Yeah right. I know you too well, Silver." the ebony one said. "I can't come. I've got a date with Shadow." Sonic said.

"You and Shadow are finally a thing?" Silver asked. "Yeah, it took a while but he finally asked me to be his boyfriend." azure said. "Remember, don't kiss." Knuckles said with his finger raised. "Never kiss on the first date." Silver said firmly. "You guys can come as long as you behave. I don't want him to think bad of you." the armadillo said.

"Scout's honor." Silver told him. Although Mighty didn't completely believe him, he just took his word for it and let it go. Later, on their way to Mighty's house Silver wouldn't stop talking and he even rushed them. "Come on guys! Hurry up!" he urged.

"What's the rush? He's not going anywhere as far as I know." Mighty said. "I just can't wait to meet him in person!" Silver said excitedly. Once they got there Mighty unlocked the door and let his friends in. "Ray, I'm back and Silver and Knuckles are here!" he called. "Coming!" came the squirrel's voice from upstairs.

Soon he ran down to meet his brother and friends. "Hi Knuckles! Hi Silver!" he happily greeted. "How are you doing, Ray?" Silver asked with a smile. "Great! Did Mighty tell you about Espio?" Ray asked. "Yeah, we came to meet him." Knuckles said. "Where is he, Ray?" Mighty asked. "He's coming. Don't you hear?" Ray replied.

Slowly but surely the fuchsia reptile was coming down to see what was up. Seeing new faces made him a bit nervous, but what happened next he surely didn't expect. As soon as he made it to the bottom he heard a gasp. "YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!" Silver blurted out. The white rodent ran up to him quickly and grabbed both of his hands, making the chameleon take a step back.

"Mighty should be ashamed of himself for not describing you better! You are absolutely gorgeous!" Silver said. Mighty put his face in his hands. "Ugh...." he groaned. "Silver, you promised to behave!" he said with a raised voice, but Silver ignored him.

"Everything about you is just perfect! Your eyes, your horn, your crest, even your tail is perfect. And that heart on your chest is just the cutest! Is is natural?!" Silver asked. "U-um... I-" "If Mighty doesn't sweep you off your feet I'm gonna have to do it myself. I just love the shape of you!" albino told him. "W-what...?"

"Alright, Silver. I think Espio would like some space." Mighty said with his hands on his hips. Silver realized he was holding the lizard's hands kinda tightly and released him. "Eheh, sorry about that." he apologized. Espio backed away a little but kept his eye on the light hedgehog, he seemed quite nervous. Mighty walked over to him.

"Espio, how about you go ahead and talk with Knuckles." He motioned towards the echidna. Knuckles politely waved and smiled. Espio shyly waved back. "Me and Silver need to have a little talk." Mighty told him as he glared at Silver. "Come on, Silver. Let's go to my room." he said.

In Mighty's room

"The heck is wrong with you, Silver?! You said you'd behave!" "That's 'cause I didn't expect him to be such a gem! You should've warned me." "Warned you???" "Yes. Now you better get with him or I'll have to take him off your hands." "I told you already! We've literally met less than 24 hours ago."

"Have you ever heard of love at first sight?" "Silver, I don't see him in that way and I'm sure he doesn't see me that way either." "I betcha by the end of this year you guys'll be dating." "No we won't!" "Right, of course. Look if you don't want him I'm still available."

Mighty sighed. "You're hopeless..." he mumbled. "That's why I'm your friend. XD" Silver said with a laugh. The dark one only rolled his eyes. "So, when are you gonna bang him?" the hedgehog asked. "Bang him?!?! Why would I do that?!" "Cuz that's what love's about, well part of it anyway."

"He's a guy!" "So? Males bang other males all the time. Just wait till Shadow starts doing it to Sonic. Besides, I've heard that Mobian reptiles aren't born with the right offspring making systems. It's pretty common. Maybe he's one. You should check."

"Why in the universe would I care??!!" "So you can know, duh. And if he is one you won't have to feel weird about banging him." "Why did I ever become friends with you...?" Mighty asked with a face palm. "And he's at it again folks. Trying his best to make his friend feel bad using words!" Silver said in an announcer's voice.

"What will happen in these strange twists of events? Will Silver survive? Let's find out!" the white one continued. Mighty shouldn't have found it funny, but he couldn't help but crack a smile and let out a soft chuckle. "There we have it folks! Using his amazing skills, Silver was able to tame the beast!"

"Alright, Silver that's enough. I just don't want you flirting with him, okay?" "Ah, possessive already I see." "Silver, I mean it." "Okay, okay. I'll behave for real this time. Happy now?" "Definitely."
