[part 1]/backstory

*10 years ago*

I was home alone again because my dad always worked overtime. He never told me what his job was but he made good money. I was about to go to sleep because I was eight and had a bedtime. As I walked down the hall to my room and saw a figure in front of the closet. I turned on the light and it was a man. He jumped at me and I ran. When I turned I ran straight into someone's chest. They wrapped their arms around me and covered my eyes. I heard a small sound then a big thud. (A silenced gun). The man picked me up, took me to my couch and layed me down.
Giacomo: Go to sleep

I started to fall asleep and my dad ran into the house and started thanking the man.
Tony: ....Giacomo thank you.
I can't remember anything after that.

*Present time*

Savannah: Y/n are you sure you are ok?

Y/n: Oh yea I'm fine.

Savannah: No you're not. I'm coming over after school I don't care.

Y/n: You are my ride home so sure.

We got in Savannah's car and she drove to my house. There were three very nice cars that I didn't recognize. My dad's car was still in the drive way. I walked into my house with Savannah following me.
I saw my dad and four other men.

Y/n: Dad?

Tony: Y/n! Just in time. I would like to introduce you to Giacomo and his son Mattia.

Y/n: Giacomo? I've heard that name before.

Giacomo: You've grown so much y/n.

Y/n: Dad can I talk to you in private?
Tony: Yeah, sure. Lets go to your room.

Savannah: Y/n I'll go home text me later, okay?

Y/n: Yeah, I'll see you tomorrow.

My dad and I got to my room and we sat on my bed.

Y/n: Giacomo is the man who saved me that night.

Tony: I know. Giacomo is my boss.

Y/n: Wait so what is he doing here?

Tony: You see y/n, Giacomo is a very powerful man and he can offer you protection but...

He stopped and broke eye contact with me.
Y/n: But?

Tony: You would need to marry his son, Mattia.

Y/n: What! I'm not going to marry someone I just met!

Tony: Yes you will! You two are getting married in a month! Now we are going back to the loving room so you can properly meet Giacomo and Mattia!

I started at my dad shocked that he was going to force me to marry a boy I never/just met. I walked out of my room and then outside to climb on the roof. Its my quiet place no one can bug me or break the silence.
