[part 22]

We have been in our new home for almost a month and everything is going smooth. Mattia left after we moved in and hasn't come out of hiding, yet. Nothing bad has happened. Nothing since Emily's death. Today is her funeral and I hope everything goes well. My boys are dressed in black dress pants and buttoned shirts. I wore this.

Kairi has been acting strange. Distant. We were on our way to the open casket ceremony. Kairi, Robert, Savannah and Alejandro, all went to sit down while I stayed in the back. I'm not ready to see Emily yet. I miss her. I stood in the beck and I felt someone's arm around my shoulders. I quickly grabbed my gun and placed it on their side so that no one could see the gun. They didn't flinch.

???: Calm down. It's just me.

I looked up and saw Mattia's face. I quickly dove into his arms and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back.

Mattia: Where are the boys?

Y/n: They are in the front.

Mattia: Why aren't you with them?

Y/n: I'm just not ready to see her.

Mattia: Well you need to. In less than an hour she will be six feet jn the ground.

Y/n: Alright.

Mattia grabbed my hand and walked to our seats. When Robert and Alejandro saw Mattia they tried to hide their excitment because Mattia is not supposed to be seen. Kairi was acting weird. He didn't even react to Mattia. He seemed mad at Mattia.

Mattia: Aye Kairi. Are you good?

Kairi: I'm fine. Sit down.

We all sat down and the funeral began. When I walked up to her to say goodbye I was speechless. She looked at peace. But I was mad, mad that Cynthia took away my bestfriend. But Cynthia was the last person that needed to be on my mind right now. Kairi didn't even walk up to her casket he stayed sitting the whole time. He didn't look at her once. I could tell he didn't want to be here. When we walked out to where she was going to be buried. Kairi helped carry her casket to her final resting place. He walked away from the casket and stood next to me. He grabbed my hand and I looked over at him. A tear rolled down his cheek and I could see more forming in his eyes. I walked up to her casket and placed a rose on the top. I walked back to Kairi, held his hand, and walked back to our car. Mattia followed and Kairi looked mad. I rolled down the window on my side. The driver's side.

Mattia: You guys leaving without saying goodbye?

Y/n: Yeah we were sorry.

I was about to step out of the car to hug Mattia but Kairi grabbed my wrist and pulled be back into my seat.

Y/n: Kairi what is wrong? You've been acting weird for too long!

Kairi: I'm actung weird?! My exgirlfriend, who saved my life, just died and got buried! Don't tell me I'm acting weird!

Y/n: I can't imagine what you are going through but why do you disappear for hours at a time? Where do you go?

Kairi: No where.

Y/n: I can't believe you right now.

I stepped out of the car and passed Mattia. I walked back into the crowd. I was trying to find Robert and Alejandro, but was stopped by a man. He looked about 2 years younger than me.

???: Where are you going in such a rush.

Y/n: I'm trying to find my friends.

???: I'll help you. I'm Alvaro.

Y/n: I'm y/n. How did you know Emily?

Alvaro: Oh I didn't I came for an old friend.

Y/n: Oh okay.

We walked around through the crowd till Alvaro stopped me.

Alvaro: I think I need to go.

Y/n: Oh alright. See you later?

Alvaro: Yeah, can I have your number.

Y/n: Yeah.

After getting my number, he left in a hurry and I saw Alejandro. He was rushing towards me.

Ale: Who was that?

Y/n: Alvaro, he was hel-

Ale: Fuck, we need to go.

Y/n: What's wrong?

Ale: I'll explain in a bit. Did you give him your number?

Y/n: Yes.

Ale: Shit!

He whistled for Robert and I saw him rushing for the car. Ale dragged me to the car and got in the drivers seat.

Kairi: Y/n, I'm s-

Ale: We don't have time. Alvaro is back.

*Kairi's POV*

Ale: Alvaro is back.

Those words. I was so scared in that moment. Cynthia was right. He is back. Y/n looked confused.

Kairi: Find Mattia now.

Alejandro started driving looking for Mattia. Mattia was the only one that Alvaro was scared of. Hopefully Mattia will be willing to help. We drove for a while trying to find Mattia.

Robert: I'll call him.

Robert called Mattia.

*the phone call.

Robert: Mattia we need your help.

Mattia: I'm not involved in the Mafia. I can't.

Robert: But Alvaro is back.

Mattia: .... Alright meet me at the save house outside of the city.

Robert: Alright, love you brother.

Mattia: love you too.

*call ended*

Kairi: What did he say?

Robert: Go to the safe house outside the city.

Ale: I don't know where that is.

Kairi: I do, follow my directions.

Y/n: Can someone please tell me what is going on?!

Kairi: Not now y/n.

Y/n: No! You will tell me who he is and why you are scared of him!

Kairi: Listen, I have every right to be scared of him! If you were scared of Mar, Alvaro is way worse!

Y/n looked scared. I can't let her be scared of him too. We got to the location and I sas Mattia's car. We stepped inside the house and I couldn't see Mattia.

Kairi: Go back.

Y/n: What? Why?

Kairi: Just go back!

I heard a gunshot and I saw Alvaro, with a gun in his hand.
