You got home from school on Friday and immediately started packing. If you waited for another second, you could be late for the convention.
A few years ago, you started cosplaying after you got into a new game that you liked. They were terrible at first with your lack of resources. When you were old enough to work, you got better and grew some sort of following.
You were invited to a convention that started in a few hours in Toyko and as your first big gig, you were beyond excited and didn't want to mess anything up.
You sighed as you packed all your things as neatly as possible. You wished you could celebrate with your friends but no one knew about your hobby. You were embarrassed at the thought of your classmates seeing you completely transform like that.

When you got to Tokyo, you were exceedingly excited. Miraculously, there was no traffic that you accounted for so you had a few hours of free time before you had to get ready.
You walked through the city, taking all the photos and posting it all over your social media. Living in a small town, the sights were beyond your comprehension. You pursed your lips and also posted it on your cosplaying account. The photos were just too beautiful.
Almost immediately, you got a notification that a boy from your school reposted your photos. It was Kenma Kozume. You didn't know him that well, he was always a quiet kid that just played games and volleyball. Although he was completely oblivious, he was quite popular in school.
He's been following your account ever since the beginning and you just prayed he didn't know you were.. you. You quickly went and deleted the post off your personal account.
You let out a breath of relief and decided it was time to get ready. As you walked to your hotel, you spotted a familiar blonde head at the reception. You tripped when you saw Kenma's face buried in his phone. What were the chances you would see him? He was in casual clothes and looked like he was waiting for someone.
"Are you okay?" a voice called out. You scrambled to get back up and was face-to-face with an orange-haired boy. You were quietly assuring him when Kenma's voice piped up from behind you.
"What are you do- (Y/N)?"
"You know her? She just tripped!" the orange boy said, now smiling even more widely. Your eyes widened. "I'm Shoyo!"
"H- Hello," you bowed to him and turned to Kenma. He was staring at you, up and down. "Ah, what a coincidence, right?" you joked awkwardly. He nodded, looking like he wanted to say something but instead, turned to Shoyo.
"Did you see this? I can't believe she's in the same city right now? I mean, it's obvious, but isn't that crazy?" he said excitedly. You've never seen a light in his eyes as bright as this. The other boy teased him as the two walked away.
You stood there, gawking at what just happened.

"I'm sorry I'm late," you apologized as you arrived at the main post to get your cosplay pass. The host of the event stared at you as you subtly tried to fix your hair.
"This is why we shouldn't hire high school kids," she said under her breath. You fought the urge to frown. A different woman who looked to be her boss lightly smacked her arm and turned to you with a smile.
"It's alright," she said to you, tapping her clipboard. "It's (Y/N), right?" she reminded. You nodded and she gave you your permit. You apologized once again before heading to your designated spot.
"Hey, guys! I'll be around A Hall but I'll also be walking around the center!" you said, creating a video for your followers.
Almost immediately, a fan came up to you. It was a little girl, in a similar clad costume. You smiled, leaning down and hugging her. Her dad was accompanying her and took photos of you both. When they left, you were still smiling. It was going to be a fun day.

After a few hours of chatting to others, taking photos, and fangirling over your own favorite cosplayers, you were tired. It wasn't close to the end of the first day, so you decided to get a quick snack.
You got your coffee and bread and was sitting down on a nearby bench, munching away. You were scrolling through your account, smiling when seeing everyone so happy when meeting you. It was so crazy. You were just a kid doing your hobby.
You took a big bite of your bread when a familiar person appeared in front of you. "C- Can I get a photo with you?" a red-face Kenma asked, gesturing to Shoyo who was a few feet away with the male's phone. You forgot you were in cosplay and blushed furiously when he came up to you. When you realized your mistake, you started to cough.
"A- Are you alright?" he asked, concerned.
"Yup," you said, your voice hoarse as you struggled to swallow the suddenly dry bread. "Sorry about that," you apologized, standing up. Shoyo was giving Kenma a thumbs-up until he looked into your eyes.
"(Y/N)?" the orange-boy asked. Your eyes widened and you stepped back in surprise, tripping over your own feet.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Kenma asked, helping you up. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what my friend is talking about!" he apologized, sounding like he was going to cry. Shoyo in the background looked mortified.
"I- It's alright!" you assured, waving his hand away as you picked yourself up. You couldn't look into his eyes. A few long seconds later, the photo was done. "Thank you for being my fan," you said, holding out your arms. Kenma went back to being embarrassed and threw his arms around you.
You beamed as he pulled away and ran to Shoyo, laughing happily. You started to walk the other direction with content until the orange boy spoke.
"You know she's obviously (Y/N), right? Her eyes have the same glow,"
"I know," Kenma asked, a smile in his voice.
You paused. Wait, what?
end.
