Chapter 4: Deception

ZION's POV

"Adan, did you re-schedule my visit with Dr. Mary Martin?" tanong ko rito.

Mabilis naman 'tong sumagot, "Yes Boss. Your schedule is today. Pero hindi po ako sigurado if Dr. Martin is available since we've been cancelling the appointment for 4 times now."

"Is she mad?" alanganing tanong ko naman.

"No Boss. She's just confused why we keep on delaying the session."

"Just confirm the appointment today. Once and for all, let's finish this." Makita ko man siya o hindi ngayon, I won't cancel this anymore.

"Sure na po 'yan Boss? Baka po pupunta na naman tayo do'n then hindi na naman po kayo tutuloy?"

"Do as I say!" I hissed at him. Napapakamot naman itong tumango na lang saka naglakad na palabas ng opisina ko.

Ilang minuto lang ay bumalik ito at tila balisa ang itsura.

"Boss, I have bad news," halos di magkandaugaga na wika nito.

"What?"

"Narinig ko po na may magaganap na board meeting kasama ang ilang mga board members and investors natin."

I frowned at once on what he said, but then I still asked, "When?"

"Tomorrow night po."

"Did you find out who arranged the meeting?" Mukhang nagsisimula nang kumilos ang kalabang partido.

"Hindi po sigurado. Pero narinig lang po ng tao natin. Baka po ang Uncle ninyo, Boss."

"Hindi na ko magtataka if siya nga ang nagpatawag ng board meeting. Adan, alamin mo lahat ng detalye lalo ang lugar kung saan gaganapin ang meeting nila. They kept it a secret? Then we're gonna surprise them."

"Yes Boss!"

Let's see kung sino-sino ang mga tao mo Vice-President Chen.

KASSANDRA's POV

True to my parents' words, I have spent the rest of my 'healing' days in an outskirt villa that they owned. Honestly, I really like it here. It's far from the bustle and hustle of the city. Fresh air, rustling of leaves in the trees, chirping sounds of birds and the silent and calming nights were the things I am getting used to now.

I love living in this kind of surroundings. Maybe because I didn't have any peaceful days like this since I started show business. I am not complaining though, but of course, I, myself wish, to have a simple life like I have now here in this villa.

"Good morning Sandy!" I automatically looked up and saw Dad walking towards me.

"Morning Dad!" ngiting sagot ko naman sa kanya. He's wearing his suits. 'Saan kaya siya pupunta?'

"What are you doing here?" he asked and planted a kiss on my head.

"Reading," maiksing sagot ko while showing him the book I'm holding.

"I see." Ngiti naman nito. "By the way, your neck brace will be removed today, right?" I just nodded at him. "Then I'll just meet you there and your Mom, okay?"

"Where are you going Dad?" di ko na napigilang itanong, though it's too obvious where.

"Business." Ngiti nito saka na nagpaalam.
