Ryzen POV

Everything is pitch black.

Darkness, just like before. I'm very familiar with this place... the same place I ended up in after I 'died'.

So I was right all along, huh... I was only hallucinating back then. The heavens have taken me back so quickly...

Suddenly, a bright light came out of nowhere. Following the bright light was a familiar man and a floating glass mirror.

I looked at Mr. Red-haired man in a melancholic sense. To be honest, I feel a little bit resentful. I thought that he would be some sort of a guide for me, but he let me suffer in many difficult situations. He left many questions unanswered.

I pouted at the sight of him moving closer to me.

As he got closer though, my eyes trailed off him. Instead, I looked at the floating glass mirror.

My eyes widened upon seeing my reflection in it...

Woah...

It has been a very long time since I saw my reflection this way. I can't even recognise myself right away!

I got dewy-eyed upon staring at my own hazel-green eyes...

All along, I had westernised features like this because my real mother was a French woman, huh? And I looked exactly like her?

Weirdly enough, I do not feel any attachments to that woman. I don't even feel the need to bother knowing about her. In fact, if anything, I feel more attachment to Millen Yu's family.

After all, I have spent time with them as a daughter and granddaughter... With my biological mother, on the other hand, I have never met her.

Am I cruel for thinking like this? I feel like more than blood relations, it is actual relationships that matter.

Millen Yu's family have showered me with love while Rose Ferrada have properly raised me, despite treating me coldly. In addition, there's my lovely sister, Zaynah.

For me, it is them that I recognise as family figures, not my supposed biological parents...

"Congratulations on completing the transmigration mission! You've done well." Mr. Red-haired man said in his low voice.

Upon hearing that, I directed my gaze into him again.

"Hmm... so what happens now?" I said bravely.

Mr. Red-haired man looked at me with probing eyes before speaking.

"Before we discuss properly, there is someone requesting an audience with you... I will teleport you to her right now."

My mouth widened due to shock, not being able to say anything else. As always, this Mr. Red-haired man is too rude! I couldn't even start with my questions, and he sends me away?

In a swift sense, the darkness was all gone. Instead, the scenery now was a stark contrast to it.

Everything was bright and beautiful, as if I'm seeing something that can only be seen in paintings. I looked down and was fascinated that it isn't just any simple flooring, it's actual clouds!

Again, due to my fascination, I could not help but be enchanted as I looked around the surroundings. How can a place look this lovely?

"Is this what heaven looks like?" I couldn't help but mutter out loud.

"Nope... this is simply a meeting area. This is not even an inch of what heaven looks like." a soft voice replied.

Taken aback by the person who just spoke, I forced myself to stop looking around the beautiful scenery.
