"The dream," Ronnie started once they were far enough from the others, Jungkook nodded telling her to proceed. They were walking beside each other, their hand no longer intertwined, the cold water washed over their bare feet. Ronnie explained the whole nightmare to the boy trudging next to her. Jungkook's expressions varied throughout the story, the brunette attempted to stay calm although it was obvious she was disturbed by her mind.
"Ronnie I-I don't know what to say," Jungkook stuttered slightly, his mind was working at a high speed, attempting to process all the strange information. "It was really...terrifying," Ronnie admitted, fiddling with her hands as they walked along the beach. "But I think it also meant that I- we can't just leave this be," she carried on, hesitantly. "We have to find out who did it. And most definitely why." Ronnie's eyes landed on Jungkook's dark orbs. She stared deep into his eyes, her pleading for help. Finally, the older boy nodded, "I'll help you with whatever you need," he agreed. Ronnie smiled lightly, causing a grin to spread across Jungkook's features. He nodded his head in the direction they came from, "Let's head back," he suggested, taking Ronnie's hand in his. They walked in comfortable silence, listening to the waves crash against the sandy shore.
It was finally getting late and the group of six boys decided to pack up, as they were waiting for the pair to come back. Once Jungkook and Ronnie saw what the rest were doing, they rushed their pace and soon joined the others in packing up. "Where did you two go off to?" Hoseok asked once everyone was ready to go home. "Just on a walk," Jungkook answered as they trekked towards the little ice cream stand. "Have you told her about your feelings yet?" he asked, knowing that Ronnie couldn't hear them over her conversation with Taehyung. The younger boy shook his head, "No, I won't until the whole thing with the," he paused "the dead body is over." Hoseok nodded, a little at loss for words.
Fortunately, Hobi was saved as Namjoon asked for their orders. The pair saw the eldest of the bunch paying, then everyone proceeded to take their ice cream. "Thanks, Joon," Ronnie said, sending him her dimple-revealing smile. Jungkook couldn't help but swoon over her. Without realising it, Ronnie was just perfect for Jungkook - she was his type to a tee. Shorter than him, brown hair, hazel eyes filled with passion, kind and sweet, yet funny and witty. Her pretty face was an addition to her gorgeous personality. "Jungkook?" He was shifted from his trance when he heard a familiar voice calling his name. Jungkook raised his eyebrows and turned his head to face the direction of the voice. "Did you have fun today?" asked, who he now found out was, Taehyung. The curly-haired boy had his arm wrapped around Ronnie's waist, causing anger to bubble up in Jungkook. "Oh yeah," he responded "It was great," he said shortly. The only girl amongst 7 boys, furrowed her brows at his response - she could tell something was bothering him.
Ronnie removed herself from Taehyung's loose grip on her waist. The brunette walked towards the back of the herd, where Jungkook was walking alone. His gaze shifted from to ground to her sparkling eyes as she approached him. "Hey," she softly greeted him, a small smile playing at her lips. "Hi," Jungkook replied, his voice only audible to Ronnie. "What's bothering you?" the girl asked. As soon as the words spilled from her mouth, his view once again moved from the ground to her face. Ronnie's eyes staring deep into his dark orbs, Jungkook chewed on his bottom lip. He was never a good liar, but he couldn't let Ronnie know what his problem was. "N-nothing," Jungkook stuttered slightly, whilst rubbing the back of his neck. "Jungkook," the shorter stopped walking, tugging on the boy's sleeve lightly. "You know you can tall me anything. What's up?" the raven-haired boy looked deep into her eyes, Ronnie stared back into his orbs searching for answers. "It's just...I'm sad the day is over. I really had fun," Jungkook tried to sound as confident as he could, hoping that Ronnie would believe him. Although she saw right through his lie, she decided not to push him further. "Awh," she cooed "I had a lot of fun too," Ronnie slipped her hand in his as they continued walking towards their homes.
