Chapter 23

Lucy's Point Of View

I was already back at Magnolia early morning. All the shops were barely opening and the restaurants just finished their early rush hour. I decided to take a walk through the park and saw Natsu and Happy leaning against a tree, asleep. I walked over to them and bent my knees a bit. I could tell that Natsu was really tired cause of the bags under his eyes. I rubbed his hair and I stopped when I felt a presence behind me. I stood up straight and looked behind me. I saw Nap, he pushed up his glasses and closed his book.

"I was wondering when you'll come back."

"What do you want, Nap?"

"I am here to offer you a deal."

"As I'll ever make a deal with you guys,'' I said, cutting him off.

"Let me finish, if you come with us we will leave your friends alone."

"And how do I know that you will follow your word?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Oh come on Lucy, just accept the deal and all this can be over."

"Yea, no. I would rather die than make deals with the likes of you."

"Eh, gave you the chance but to let you know we won't be too kind in the future." He said before disappearing. I shook my head and looked at Natsu. I pushed away the toxic thoughts that threaten to come forward. I sat down next to Natsu and leaned against the tree.

'Do you want me to take control for a bit?' She asked.

'No,'

'I won't do anything, I promise.'

'No, I can't lose myself again. I have to get through this on my own.' I said cutting off the link. Guardian didn't even try.

"You're here Lushi?" I heard Happy say. I nodded and put my hand on his head.

"Did you guys not go home?"

"I fell asleep on Natsu's shoulder so I guess not." I shook my head and smiled. We were quiet for a bit till Happy had a serious expression.

"They came, Lushi."

"Who came?" I asked in confusion.

"Gin, she came the day you left and yesterday."

"Wait what?"

"She said that she had a message for you but then told us that she already told you. She also made a threat to Gray about Juvia and Storm.'' I stared at him in shock. Gin made her appearance twice to them but none to me.

"What did she tell you guys bout the message?"

"She said 'We always get what we want. It's only a matter of time before our plan sets in motivation.' then she told us to tell you when you're alone, 'next time that I have her, I'll let the boys play.' then left." The beginning, they always say the same thing but in the end, I knew what she meant and I didn't like it. I don't think any girl would like it. It's like saying a girl is an object.

"Ok, what type of threat did she make to Gray?"

"She said watch your wife and kid before something bad happens."

"They plan on attacking soon," I said more to myself.

"What? We have to tell everyone." Happy said ready to fly off.

"Happy wait, are you sure she didn't say anything else?"

"Oh, yea, something bout a clock ticking and a matter of time till something falls." I shook Natsu awake.
