Demi POV
Last nights thoughts keep me up until Noah woke up from his sleep. I had stayed with him since he kept having nightmares to the thought of never seeing Steph and I again. My poor baby couldn't sleep.
That made two of us.
I couldn't believe I had not slept. I mean I couldn't since I had to make sure Noah was okay. But Stephanie had kissed me. It was more unbelievable the more I thought of it. That the actually love of my life had kissed me last night. Her soft lips were on mine. She had kissed me without me asking her too. She had done it, not me, even if I wanted too she had beat me to it, she kissed me first.
The kiss was amazing, fireworks had went off again like our first time. Only this time they didn't go away even after we pulled away. They still went off in my head. My heart was still pounding.
"Mommy, can we go see Steph" Noah said quietly. I nodded before sitting up and pulling him into a motherly hug.
"How'd you sleep baby" his blue eyes went light blue within a few seconds. He's frown broke me. He has always been all smiles never sadness. This was too much to watch.
"I had nightmares" I rubbed his back softly before kissing his forehead.
"Let's get some breakfast in you." I informedhim, nodding he held onto my hand.
We walk downstairs hoping to see Steph in the living room or simply the kitchen with a cup of coffee but she was no where to be seen.
I watched as Noah wondered off into the living room with a smile. But later he came back with yet another frown.
"She's not here mommy" he whispered before siting down at the table. He gasped before saying, "what if he took her mom, what if this is his way to get me mom. I don't want to go mom. PLEASE DONT LET HIM TAKE ME!" He yelled causing me to rush to him.
"Noah-" just in the moment Stephanie walked in out of breath in sweatpants and a muscle shirt.
"Aww what's wrong little nugget" Stephanie let out in a breath. One as raspy and soft as could be. She walked over to us, Noah met her half way and took her legs into a big hug.
She smiled at him then looked my way. Her blue eyes causing chills to run down my body. God her eyes will always be the death of me.
"I'm so happy to see you" Noah said making us pull away from our stare. She got down on her knees and took him into a hug.
"I'm really happy to see you too Noah." He held onto her tighter as she did the same. I heard the oven preheated ring go off, I stood up and popped in the oatmeal muffins.
Soon Steph and Noah had left the kitchen and where now outside playing some kind of sport. They're real boys, I'll tell you that.
Once breakfast was done, I called them both back in and watched them fight over the orange juice cups until one of them spilled it on the floor. They both pointed at each other then laughed hard.
Both the same.
Always the same.
"I'm not getting that" I announced before sitting down with my cup of coffee. Noah stuffed his mouth with muffins making sure it wasn't him who had to clean it.
"I got it" Stephanie whispered winking in my direction. Those chills made a second appearance to my body. I took in how sweaty she had been when first coming into the kitchen and how sweaty she was now as well. It was sexy.
Very sexy.
Our eyes met once again, she pushed some of her messy hair to the back before walking up to her room. I'm guessing to shower.
