Demi's POV

<Six months later>

"So she disappeared once again" Alice, one of my best friends asked.

"Yeah" I replied watching Noah kick his soccer ball into the mini goal.

"Think she'll come back?"

"I don't know"

Ever since Stephanie called that day asking us to move in. Things became very different. By different I really mean, back to normal. I personally got over it knowing that she always did this.

But Noah.

He was a mess about it, he would cry any chance he got. It hurt me to see him react in that way but then again I'm the one to blame for keeping them apart.

The music interest was gone and replaced with sadness. He wouldn't play piano, sing and even talk as much.

He was slowly losing faith that she would ever be back. And it was scary to watch.

My phone rang turning my attention from Noah away, lucky he was to busy to hear it. When hearing it he would run over hoping it was her.

It never was.

"Hello" I answered.

"Hey baby, just calling to see it you wanted me to pick up some more party decorations?"

"No Nick, I think that will be all. Thank you"

"No problem love. I'll see you guys soon" I ended the call with a signed. The last time I was called love was when she said it.

During this time I had started dating Nick. Turns out he actually was a good man, and respected both Noah and I. He helped me pick up Noah when I couldn't. I had took on a job at  our local farmers market. It wasn't the millions I would get a day on tour but it was enough.

Nick was even showing Noah how to play soccer and other sports. It was always the funniest thing to watch. Noah was a fast learner and every time Nick tried to teach him Noah would already know what to do.

There were moments where he would pretend to not know what to do. And would laugh really loud when Nick would spend the next 10 minutes showing him something he already knew.

He's a joker. Just like she was.

Later on...

Before I knew it Noah's party had started. I looked around to see all the guests and their kids running around playing games Nick had set up.

I could see Noah playing tag with he's classmates. He looked the happiest he's ever been since she left.

I really hoped it would stay that way.

"Hey you aren't still mad at me, are you?" Marissa said coming in with, what I think was Noah's gift.

"Not really" she smiled before calling Noah over to give him his gift along with giving him a huge hug.

"Thank you aunt" Marissa smiled nodding. We both watched Noah carry his gift away to the living room gift table. Once placing it down, he ran back to his friends where Hazel waited for him.

"He's growing up fast"

"Yeah, I know." I smiled watching him hide while his friend counted to 10.

"So how was it?" I turned to Marissa confused.

"How was what Rissa" she stepped closer before looking around to see if anyone was round.
