Beeeeeeeeeep!!!!!!! Ugh, I turned over and slammed my hand on the alarm. I'm going to have to get used to that. My body got up slowly and trudged to the closet. I picked out a black skater skirt with a white muscle tank with a black cross in the middle. Pulling on my black combat boots I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs.

"Morning, Sweetheart." Dad said with a mug of coffee and a paper in his hands. I nodded politely and walked out of the house. I inwardly gasped at Andrew in my front lawn.

"Ready for school?" He asked with a bright smile. Again, I nodded and got into the back seat with him. Andrew's dad's hand moved to the radio and turned it on. During the car ride we sat in comfortable silence and bobbed our heads to the music. The car pulled up to the drop off and I viewed the school.

It was fairly large and had black gates all around. The playground was in relatively good shape and the teachers were all talking amongst themselves, probably about today's lessons.

"Welcome to Grace Christian Schools." Andrew's dad said and parked. We both got out and grabbed out belongings. Andrew and I went straight to the office. There the secretary gave me my schedule.

-1st Ms. Pavlet- History

-2nd Mr. Gonzalez- Bible

-Free period

-3rd Mr. White- Pre-Algebra

-4th Mrs. Blanc- Writing

-Lunch

-Elective: Art- Ms. Mia

-5th Ms. Gradner- Science

-P.E- Mr. Hetter

"Cool we have first, fourth, and fifth together." Andrew said looking over my shoulder. I shook my head slightly smiling. We walked out of the office when something slammed into me. My books flew across the hall and I landed flat on my stomach.

"Watch where you're going Cane." Andrew's voice said with venom. He handed me a hand and helped me up. I took it and looked at the person responsible for the accident. He looked kind of shocked and stunned, like he never ran into people.

"S-sorry, I was late for class and if I'm late again I'll get-" he was cut off by a rough, old voice.

"Detention, Mr. Cane." I turned around to see an old man with receding hairline and laugh lines. I looked back to Cane and he had his head hung low.

"Sorry Mr. White." Cane replied and trudged sadly to the room he was heading for.

"You two need to get to class also." He said with a warm smile. We nodded and to first period.

"Who was that?" I asked so quietly I surprised myself. I had no intention of ever speaking unless absolutely necessary.

"Brody Cane, school bad boy and extremely mean and an awful jerk. Here's a tip, stay away from him." He said coldly. Just like that he was back to his happy self and opened the door for me with his classic smile.

First period went on easily, and I really enjoyed the teacher. She was so fun and had a great personality. We basically just talked about the start of World War 2 in Europe. It was definitely a faster pace than first grade, but I enjoyed it. Strangely my back was beginning to hurt me so I had to change positions in my seat a lot.

Andrew was a big help though; he got me caught up in class and was super patient. I have no idea what I would do without him. The bell rang and we all got up.

"No homework tonight, but be thinking of what you want your research paper to be about. Remember it has to be relevant to WW2. Have a good day guys." With that we left the class and headed down the hall. All of a sudden a screech rang through the halls. I turned around to see a blonde girl run up to me and hug me tightly.

"Oh my gosh, Jen, I've missed you so so much!" the girl said with a cheery voice. I glanced at Andrew who tried so hard to keep a straight voice. Once she let go I gave her a confused look that made her smile faltered. "You don't remember me?" That's when Andrew couldn't help but laugh.

"Ease up on her, Layla. In her defense your hair changed dramatically and you got glasses." That made her stop looking hurt.

"Layla?" I asked slightly shocked. She just nodded smiling. This time I hugged her tight.

"We need to catch up, girl." She said with another bright smile. I only chuckled and nodded. Just then the warning bell rang and we all parted ways. Andrew showed me where my next classes were until fourth. I took in a deep breath and opened the door. All eyes were on me. I mean it was only September, school only started less than a month ago

"Welcome Ms. Nealson, every seat is filled except for those two in the back and one seat is Mr. Cane." I inwardly groaned. Please tell me Brody had a twin brother who is nicer. I sat down and got out my journal copying the verse on the board. Just then the door opened and I looked back. To my disappointment Brody was not a twin. He looked at me and smirked. Walking to his seat, which unfortunately was next to me, he winked. I looked at him disgusted and focused back on the verse. This time I groaned so he could hear. He just chuckled and brought out his own journal. I sure hope I don't have too many classes with him.

A/N: So I had a really fun time writing this one. Yes, i know that is not how you typically spell 'Layla' but I personally love it that way. I decided I would do my best to update at least every day and if not every other day. Of course Christmas is coming up so I might take a small break. That way I will be able to come back with a fresh, writer's block free brain.
