Time Warp

        After turning in that paper and having that little back issue, life went on pretty normal. Other than some more back issues here and there I was perfectly fine.
        The rest of the quarter was fine and I was happy Andrew and Brody were at least cooperating and not at each other's necks. Although it is funny to see their arguments every now and then.
During the winter Brody and I were assigned another project about the birth of Christ and we did it like the other paper. My mind often wondered to why I couldn't go over to his house. Andrew and I were assigned projects and we had a blast writing or doing them. He really was amazing, and he had a heart for The Lord.
        What surprised me most of this year was in the spring when Layla and her getting a boyfriend. His name is Keith Dare. He's an eighth grader but he treats all the seventh graders equally which is why Layla started liking him. They are so cute together. Luckily they are both going to the same high school. Finals was a bear and I officially hated how big kids' school had them. In first grade we just learn multiplication. However, in the end it did pay off.
        During the summer, Brody and I remained friends and he seemed a lot more laid back during summer. We went to get ice cream once in a while and even went to the movies with a bunch of his friends and their girlfriends.
        Andrew and I walked his dog every day along with Layla and her old husky. She's had him since she was two and loves him to death. I even had my first sleepover with Layla and Lucas's girlfriend who I had gotten close to. Hey a girl's gotta have fun. Actually they just wanna- cue music-
Oh we just wanna!!! Yeah I know I'm a little weird.
        Anyway I was so close to making it to the end of the summer without having a swim party. I love swimming, in fact Layla and Andrew and I go all the time, but only because they know of my accident. Sure Brody knows I've been in a accident but he doesn't know how serious it was, or that it left major scars all over my back where it even a one piece could cover it up.
        Unfortunately I have to go to the end of the summer swim party hosted by Brody. He really wanted me to come and since it is the only way I'm going to get to his house I agreed. I'm not sure how everyone will react to my scars. I know now after a year in actual school that people will gossip that I'm some sort of freak, but I could hear the pleading in. Brody's voice that I couldn't say no to.
        We shall just have to wait and see what will happen won't we. Truth be told I'm not looking forward to Brody seeing these scars either. It's not like I have time to back out anyway, the party is in an hour or so and Andrew is picking me up in thirty minutes. Now I get to debate on which bikini.
