"What happened, Vi?"

Hindi ako magkandaigi at patuloy na umiiwas ng tingin sa kanila Kuya nang itanong nila sa akin 'yon. I even almost jumped out of surprise when Kuya suddenly held me and made me faced him, aggressively as he could like he already forgot that I'm his sister because of the urge his giving me.

"What happened?"He repeated, bluntly and cold.

As I gradually met his eyes, there I saw the look he always look at everybody. Nang mangyari 'yon ay mas lalong humigpit ang pagkakahawak niya sa balikat ko. Because of what he did, I almost refrained from shrieking when he held the ones where those bastards hit me. Tiniis ko naman yung pagkahawak niya at hindi ko parin siya sinagot.

Napaiwas nalang ulit ng tingin nang bigla akong makaalala.

I bite my lip out of nowhere.

It's not that too late for me to know that he and the others already knew about the Alum and what's the Alum built for. Hindi ko alam kung nagiging ganito siya dahil sa kapatid niya ako, dahil ba sa alam na nila ang totoong nangyayari o parehas lang.

I couldn't help but to think of the possibilities that he might take as a reason why he's like that because I'm also a big part of the Alum.

God knows how Alum is capable of knowing everything. Walang nakakatakas sa amin.

But even though they almost know exactly every single thing, it's just too dangerous for them to know what happened especially if Ae was being involved. Alam kong masyado akong bata sa mga ganitong bagay, pero wala na akong magagawa dahil kinalakihan ko na 'to.

"Zace, you're hurting her."Napangiti agad ako ng matamlay nang marinig ko 'yon mula kay Kuya Hue na nakahawak na sa balikat ng Kuya ko at sinumbatan siya tungkol sa ginagawa niya sa akin.

He smiled and nodded at me, afterwards as he saw how I flashed him a relieving smile.

Dahil doon ay naramdaman ko na ang bahagyang pagbitaw ni Kuya ng dahan-dahan, at walang pasintabi na mabilisan akong niyakap pagkatapos. Hindi ko naman naiwasan na mapaluha ng konti nang gawin niya 'yon.

Hindi ko nga alam kung maniniwala ba siya sa akin o hindi. But I have no choice, it was the only thing that I could ever say as an excuse for what happened.

"Why were you even there at that kind of hour?"Biglaang tanong sa akin ni Kuya Rye nang makisingit siya sa usapan na naging dahilan para sa kaniya tumuon ang atensyon ko.

"I was about to go to the Alum, but then it happened."Paliwanag ko naman agad sa kanila at sabay na kumuha ng tingin kay Ae na mahimbing na nagpapahinga dito sa kwarto ko.

As I gaze at her, I weakly smiled for remembering what happened.

After what happened back there at the backgate, she suddenly fell unconscious because of the hit she received that eventually made us to brought her here. I already told them that I was going to take care of her, but I don't know why the hell this brother of mine kept on insisting they should stay.

I mean, he should stay. Bigla naman akong napangisi nang makita ko kung gaano siya tumitig kay Ae, lalo na nang dalhin namin siya dito.
