[Chapter 48: Uncontrollable]

Agad akong tumayo mula sa pagkakaupo dito sa kwarto ko sa Alum at hindi nagdalawang isip na lumabas habang hawak-hawak ko yung phone ko. Right from there, I was completely fastening my pace towards the control room when an alert notification suddenly popped up from my phone awhile ago.

Frustration is already plastered on my face the moment I saw the notification.

"They're so dead."Wala sa sariling bulong ko.

Walang pasintabi na agad akong pumasok sa control room nang makarating na ako na kung saan halos lahat ay may kaniya-kaniya nang ginagawa.

I immediately went towards Treck and Azraell who are both currently monitoring an enormous screen the moment I saw them in the room. Sabay naman silang tumingin sa akin nang makita nila akong papalapit sa
kanila.

Treck suddenly smirk when I immediately went beside him to monitor the screen, as well.

"Predictable, as always."Azraell unconsciously shrugged while his eyes are being locked up on the screen.

The screen in front of us is where we always monitor each and everyone inside and outside who has a connection to us, specifically, the ones who are being connected to the Alum itself.

But for about some time now, it is also our way to monitor the Onyx and what the heck are they doing with their lives to chase us down.

"This is surely going to reach them."Treck blunted out. Nagkatinginan naman kami ni Azraell at sabay na tumango.

"Well, it's a matter of time now."Tanging nasabi ni Azraell at muling nagkibit-balikat nang tignan niya naman ang relo niya.

"Oh well, it's their choice anyway."Bigla naman akong ngumisi nang sabihin ko 'yon. Agad ko namang natanaw sila Tita Iris mula sa kinatatayuan ko na kasama si Violet at nakatutok din ang mga atensyon sa screen.

Tita Avani can also be seen beside them, as they all look like talking about something relatable about the current situation. Dahil doon ay hindi ko napigilan na bahagyang tahimik na tumawa ng mahina. Because it will probably sounds strange, but their faces are definitely not the ones whose others are expecting for.

"They arrived as fast as they could when they received it."Tumabi naman agad sa akin sina Treck at Azraell nang mapansin nilang nakatingin ako sa kanila Tita.

"Seriously, those are the faces of worried parents?"Treck immediately shrugged when Azraell suddenly blurted out what we're seeing.

"Look who's talking when his cousin was abducted. Azraell, you know how they actually act whenever they're here."Irap ko naman nang marinig ko ang sinabi niya. Umismid naman siya dahil doon.

Napailing nalang ako at hindi nalang siya pinansin, bago binalik ulit ang atensyon ko sa screen kung saan pinapakita na sa amin kung anong nangyayari. Agad naman akong napangisi nang makita 'yon at sabay na napailing.

Like what we usually say, the Alum knows everything.

"So, they're abducted."

Wala sa oras na mas lalo akong napangisi nang agad naming marinig ang boses na 'yon.

Finally.

Treck didn't even had the second thought to show how he immediately smirk, while Azraell just blissfully waved a hand when we turned our backs around to welcome them, the sooner they entered the control room.

Upon those presence, I can almost see the people around us stopped from what they're doing and immediately went bowing to a total of 90° angle the moment they noticed who just came in the control room.

"Nice to see you, again."Azraell stated in a very casual way.

Halos tumawa naman ako ng mahina dahil sa ginawa niya nang makita ko kung paano lang siya bigyan ng isa-isang blangkong tingin na naging dahilan para sumimangot siya.

I unconsciously flinched. Goodness gracious.

"Don't they got anything more to excite us?"

"Boring!"

"Well, what do you expect from their way of abduction."

Kaniya-kaniya naman silang napangisi nang sabihin nila 'yon habang nakatutok na ang mga atensyon nila sa screen. Hindi ko tuloy napigilan na bahagya silang titigan nang mapabaling ang atensyon ko sa kanila.

I just really can't deny the fact that these people, right in front of us are really unbelievable. Despite of what's happening right now, they really had the urge to eat and drink like they're watching some kind of movie.

Napailing nalang ako at muling tinuon nalang ang atensyon ko sa kaniya. From where I stand, I immediately saw how she stares blankly towards the screen like she's spacing out when I looked at her.

But trust me, she already calculated what to do.

"What now?"One of them casually asked her and unconsciously placed arms across her shoulder. As we heard that kind of question, we were all already expecting to hear nothing for an answer when all of us immediately glanced back at her.

"How impressive."She blunted out in a very usual monotonous voice.

Later on, we were all just looking on how she made her way towards out the control room as she left us without even taking a look back.

Nagkatinginan kami nang makita namin kung paano siya nawala sa harapan naming lahat.

"Oh, this is so going to be exciting to watch."

"Well, you know her."

"It's a bait, isn't it?"

Bigla kaming natigilan nang marinig namin 'yon, bago muling ibalik ulit ang atensyon sa screen kung saan may isa pang screen na siya na ang pinapakita.

"Where did she go?"

Lahat naman kami ay sabay na napalingon sa gilid nang maramdaman namin sila Tita Avani na pumunta sa kinaroroonan namin nang mukhang nakita nila kung ano ang nangyari.

We immediately all look together when we heard what she just asked regarding about her.

"Took the bait, probably."Azraell unconsciously shrugged, as he responded immediately.

"She'll never took the bait, Az."Tanging sambit ko na naging dahilan para mapaismid siya ng bahagya. Tumingin naman ako sa screen bago bigyan ulit siya ng isang tingin.

"She'll just give them what they're asking for, and you know that no one in this world can ever stop her."

"You have a point, though."Napasimangot naman ako at agad siyang binato ng isang clipboard na nakita ko. Agad niya naman itong sinalo at sinamaan ako ng tingin.

"Enough with the both of you."Treck suddenly interrupted and gave us each other a hit in the head. Dahil sa ginawa niya ay hindi ko na rin napigilan na mapasimangot at sinamaan siya ng tingin.

"We can't do anything about her, anymore."

There's really nothing to do. Napailing naman ako bago muling ibalik ang atensyon ko sa screen.

"Man, is it really about them or is it about him?"Hindi naman namin mapigilan na matawa ng konti pagkatapos marinig ang sinabi ng isa sa kanila.

"That doesn't matter."Kibit-balikat ng katabi niya.

"There's only one thing for sure, and we all know that."Binigyan niya naman kami ng isang tingin bago ngumisi. Napansin na din namin na napailing nalang sa kanila sila Tita Avani, bago umalis sa tabi namin at bumalik sa inaasikaso nila.

"Antío!"

After that, they just altogether turned their backs leaving the room.
