I cannot believe that I got slapped. That too by none other than Yana Puri. I took a sip of water to calm my nerves as I looked at the view from Kabir's and Lakshya's room. It was almost 1 in the night and yet Kabir was not in his room. The city outside was beautiful, to say the least."You know what I think?"Lakshya interjected from where he was laying on one of the two single beds, I signalled him to continue."What I think is that this Yana girl? You don't hate her."
"What you think is wrong then." I crossed my arms over my chest and dared him to disagree as I leaned against the glass window which ran from the ceiling to the floor.
"You don't hate her, infact you are attracted to her. That's what you hate, you hate that feeling of losing control over yourself." Lakshya preached taking in my facial expressions, which were stoic.
"Nonsense." I sighed and sat on the couch against the wall."Just why are you two sharing a room?"
"To get the shaadi vibe, of course." Lakshya replied as it was the most obvious thing in the world,"Nobody should have a room just to themselves, so the suites go to families and singles like Kabir and I share a room. Besides, everyone should be just a tad bit of uncomfortable, make little compromises. For memories ofcourse."
"I don't share a room, neither does Vivaan. Nor Purab." I pointed out.
"Everyone is ought to make little compromises, we can't endanger someone's life having him room with Purab." Lakshya snickered, "And Vivaan is sharing rooms just fine. With multiple women, perhaps a different roommate every night."
"And I?"
"Well you eh, you are too stoic in your ways and can be rather frightening at times." Lakshya confessed,"You are a prude."
"I am not." I muttered and ignored him. "A prude, huh?"
"And you can be judgemental, because you don't even know Yana."
"It's too hard."
"But you want to?"
"Why would I? Why would I like to know a girl like her?"
"You are a complicated man, Virik."
"I'll leave you alone with your thoughts." I bid him adieu and walked towards his room. And there infront of my room I found the new lovey-dovey couple, Kabir and Alia.
Alia straightened when she saw me walking towards them."Where were you?" Kabir questioned me and I just looked at him idiotically.
"Waiting for you in your room." I confessed and felt utterly stupid.
Kabir smiled,"My brother, always a victim of lack of communication."
Alia poked him with her elbow glaring at him and then turned to me,"I just wanted you to know that tonight Yana and Navya were out to find a stripper for the bachelorette party. She's a person who is very easy to make an opinion about, but that's what they are- opinions. And Yana never really cares, but she's visibly upset of your opinion."
Realisation dawned upon me.
"Fine, I messed up. But that doesn't mean my opinion is wrong about her." I rebuked because there is no way Yana is any different from the opinion I have of her.
"Sometimes opinions tell you more about the person having them instead of the one being judged." Alia affirmed and then with a small smile walked away.
"I don't care what you think, apologize." Kabir ordered and then walked away too.
